Yes you are correct the official fixture will be released on 07th Nov. This week will be all AFL focus because of the Trade & then next week will be fixture focused & then following week the drafting will come into picture.Eastern wrote:It looks like I got it Horribly Wrong with the timing this year. All that I have heard is that it WON'T be Carlton v Richmond on the opening Thursday (possibly Coll v Geel at Etihad).
My revised prediction is that the leaks will now start around next Monday or Tuesday (28 or 29 Oct) and the full FIXture will be released about Thursday 7 Nov. Just like the Trade Period, the AFL will want to "string it out" for as long as they can !!

Re: FIXture Leaks? !!
I'm not so sure that this is an AFL leak. My tip would be that Brendan Gale (Richmond CEO) has got Caro to do his "Dirty Work" for him AGAIN. I seem to remember that the AFL weren't happy with him a couple of years ago for the same reason !!saintbrat wrote:leaks starting early ( although it has been known for a couple of months that saints getting mainly twilight games-

Looks like we'll only play North once .
Not exactly the average for the magpies-- average travel is 6 so why is five an increase.......

>>>>>>COLLINGWOOD will again travel five interstate times next year, finally losing their reputation as a stay-at-home team. The Pies now believe five interstate trips will be the norm given the growing number of interstate sides, winning two of last year’s five non-Victorian encounters. While they will again draw a challenging schedule, their finish outside the top six spares them a lethal combination of double-up games against top-four opponents.
See more at:North Melbourne is expected to play St Kilda in Hobart in July, meaning Nick Dal Santo will have to wait until well into the season before his first game against his former club -

And it's looking more and more like the Bulldogs will sign up to play the GCS at Cazaly's in Cairns this year much to my disappointment as it looks like my own personal campaign to get the Saints to play up in Cairns has failed. I'm not giving up just yet.
It is a very nice little earner.

Re: FIXture Leaks? !!
Couple if quick things from bigfooty. Not sure where the sources are but a selected number of them have just about clarified round one's lineup.
Collingwood v freo at etihad - channel seven?
GWS v Sydney at skoda - afl
Gold Coast v Richmond at metricon - caro
Carlton v port at etihad - caro
Geelong v adelaide at simonds - afl
North v essendon at etihad - jayco
Hawthorn v Brisbane at aurora - afl
West coast v bulldogs at patersons - no idea
Leaving the only unconfirmed by any source (except bulldogs/west coast - dint even know where that came from)
St Kilda and Melbourne - surely out home game and surely at etihad
Also according to local adelaide radio adelaide okay port (obviously), Collingwood, north, GWS and st Kilda twice.
Likely we will get double up matches against GWS Melbourne and either west coast or bulldogs. Personally I hope we get the eagles twice and a home match versus freo (do only one trip west). I reckon our last double up will be Brisbane or north (from the middle group) in other words no double up from the top six.
I've already constructed what I think our fixture could look like and it's not too bad at all.
Can't wait til Thursday!!!
