We are in disarray

We are in deep sh*t

We traded two club legends, one for "free"

Roo is going to Collingwood

Joey is going to Essendon

Watters is about to be sacked

Supporters at Hawthorn are laughing at us

Other clubs are laughing at our trading.

This has all been reported as fact during this trade period.

Facts are

we have 4 picks in the top 25

#3 wont be traded

We have picked up Savage, and will get Longer, Delaney, and Bruce - all for preferring the Saints over other clubs

A review taken by the club has give Watters and Pelchan a tick and will go into 2014 stable and on the same page.

Must be sad and embarrassed for the ignorant naysayers who use rumour and innuendo and Chinese whispers as confirmation bias for their own prejudices and sad dispositions.

Well done Saints. We might all be "apologists" for now going off half cocked and believing every piece of rubbish circulated about the club, but at least we support our club and not lay the boots in at every opportunity.

Critisism of the club is fine. Every football club needs to be accountable and many decisions will not be looked on kindly.

But unwarranted constant critisism on mistruth, and rumour really should be called for what it is. And in my opinion it is a concerted effort by the disaffected and disgruntled to undermine the club through smear and slander.

And for all of those who did that and who purport to be a Saints supporter. HANG YOU HEADS IN SHAME AND PULL THEM IN.

Excellent post, it is good to hear a positive rant instead of posts that are going to slam the club no matter what they do

I love this club

Jaxons clearly stated we would get Longer, Delaney and Bruce and still have picks 3,18 and 19. So I hope it's not confirmed. Jaxons seemed pretty confident. I was a bit sceptical. Couldn't see us getting all 3 players without losing at least 18 or 19. Hope he is correct. He has form is good.

Brisbane didn't want Hawks pick 18. Why is our pick 25 now good enough? What's changed? I know he's nominated us, but hasn't he also said he would be ok to stay.

Love it to go that easy, reckon we might have to lose one of those early picks.

Just want to get it done. Would be a great trade period for sure

I think Brisbane are now seeing Longer leave for the psd and they could get nothing. They might have stood firm when bargaining with Hawthorn but their options are disappearing.
Pick 25 is whole lot better than nothing.

Plus Hawthorn desperately needed a ruckman; now they don't.

On the other hand, the Saints would like/love to get Longer to Seaford, but not at any price.

Fair point. I was under the impression he wouldn't go to the PSD. If it got to that stage he would stay, leaving the Lions with the bargaining power.

I think BOTH St Kilda & Brisbane will eventually agree on Pick 25 for Billy Longer. I also see BOTH clubs "Playing Poker" over the next few days in an attempt to get a better deal. That is how the Trade Period works for everyone except Essendon !!

NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!

Tell me about it. I wish CJ would light it all up till we're left with nothing but Aish.

Kelly is best bet at #3 - a young Dal Santo
Not sure the Bruce deal is done yet.

If thats the case, I'm warming to Billings. Or risking it with Aish, the gun who is going to slide due to injuries and go home factor.

Definite yes. I didn't actually realise, but Bruce made the AA team in his U18 year. Not bad for a player from Canberra. I wonder where he would've been drafted in he wasn't preselected?

I don't play poker, which is why I would be bad at trading. I perobalby would give in and blink first , so to speak.

I also want the week to be over,

More of jaxons forecast comes true...
This tweet from the AFL's Patrick Keane -
"Trade p'work lodged: Hawthorn exchange its Rd 1 Free Agency pick (curr, 19) to St Kilda for its Rd 2 pick (curr. 24) & Rd4 pick (curr 59)."
