Loris you have obviously followed footy for a fair while so i cant believe you can think FA is worse that what previously happened. Surely you remember Russell Greene going. he went the night before a game. We had a bloke playing for us who wasnt even in the record. players moved around just as much previously. We have lost many stars and we lost this one not because of FA but because we didnt want to keep him. The contract was there if we wanted him.
Yep. i think we got 2 players. the other started with K I think and ended up being in charge of basketball. Tony king rings a bell.

Not the end of the world.... If we get Band 2 it will be about 19. Band 3 will be 22. Not much difference is there?

So NDS's manager, Tom Petroro, said that the Saints were keen to keep him, but NDS want to leave...

Just like you could tell Goddard had lost interest early in 2011, it was pretty clear to see early on in 2013 that Dal had fallen out of love.Buckets wrote:AP Erebus wrote:So NDS's manager, Tom Petroro, said that the Saints were keen to keep him, but NDS want to leave...

Re: Dal's now gone :(
I'd like to be compared to Mark Waugh
8000 test runs
100 tests
22 test centuries
One of the best one day bats in Australian ODI history.... 3 World Cup hundreds in 1996
Unbelievable fielder and world record holder
And those who thought he coasted, watch an innings he played in Antigua 139* against Ambrose, Walsh and Co in 91 or 126 in Jamaica to elevate Australia to #1 in the world..... Or back to back centuries vs Sth Africa in Australia against Donald and Pollock .... His battle with Donald in Melbourne was awesome....
He was a tough cricketer, who appeared to make it look easy.... Ambrose, Walsh, Bishop, Fraser, Gough, Akram, Younis, Akthar, Vaas..... And others
Never easy?
Dal gets tagged weekly
Seriously, does anyone think that would be easy? Seriously?..

Some have rose coloured glasses you appear to have s*** colored glasses..anyway we have absolutely no hope of winning a flag atm nor would we be while Dal is still with us so him leaving is academic . we will get something positive from it, hopefully young. BJ, Ball, Dal, etc gone... Fortius Quo fidelius ....we may have to change that logo.stinger wrote:

Re: Dal's now gone :(
He wanted out, manager said as much on radio this arvo. Why hold onto a bloke who next year could have walked out of the club for nothing?
If that happened this place would be unbearable! Got what they could. Dal was never ever going to play in finals again with us, he wanted the chance to do so. I wish him all the best.

In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Re: Dal's now gone :(
Dal played over 200 games and finished high up in the Brownlow, possibly on more than 1 occasion.
He must have been a good player over the journey, however i'm happy to list the list evolving well away from the one that couldn't quite get the job done.
The pelican and co want to completely reload for another tilt, i'm OK with that as long as we don't reload into another Melbourne and get it completely wrong.

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Mates aside
Do you think Kangaroos supporters are unhappy.... ATM we are a laughing stock..... No stranger to that though are we...
Apologist!
Spin it as much as you like, convince yourself all you like.... Deep down inside, you know it to be true.... All the bravado and bulls*** on the Internet, doesn't Change the fact....
Out of the 4-6 power clubs of the 2001-2012 period, we are the ones who achieved nothing and are know the worst off?!
But excuses will do, I suppose?....
