Personally I wouldn't target him but he's now an opposition player so he's fair game. He doesn't get special treatment. If he gets bumped, tackled misses goals etc. I'll cheer.

He was offered a 3 year deal for very good money.
Essendon offered him a four year deal for around 100k/year more.
