Put it this way, if you were GWS, would you make that trade?

Anyone who says they would, is lying!!!

The question is why the hell would GWS do it. They could probably get Fisher at around pick 40 which they wont use anyway.

Maybe they get advise from Melbourne's list manager - who would thought Melbourne would make that trade?

They need Key backman - yes injured last year but All Australian and prior to last year on of the best cut out defenders in the league. They would only drop 2 spots . Suppose it depends on how you rate Fisher and what GWS see as urgent needs.

But they can get him if they want him anyway and that have to even really use a pick because the one they will give then they probably wouldnt use. I am a huge chips fan but he 31 and injured.

Don't get why they can get him anyway as he is contracted I believe and therefore we would have to agree to a trade?

Thats true but I dont think the saints have any interest in standing in their way if he wanted to go and they wanted him.

more like 3 + 17 (or 18) for pick 1 or patton

don't think they'd do anything else

fisher might be tossed in to get bruce across, if it makes any difference

gets us a CHF/FF but costs us a mid or two

not sure how i feel about it, risk / reward and all that

Why not?

Because the GWS list manager would have to be riding the short bus to agree to that.

More like Gilbert, Fisher and Pick 3 for Bruce and pick 1

Even then it would be doubtful

Would do that in a heart beat.

If we are sold on the best mid though we may see us look to swap 2 and 3 with bits and pieces thrown in ?

Not going to happen... GWS went after pick 2 for a reason... they want the first two picks...

Fisher as P66 mentioned doesn't have much currency. Even Fisher for Bruce as a straight swap looks unlikely.

Jack is definitely worth more than Armitage.
Just because they say they are from Queensland, here to help, does not make them the best selection.
Sometimes even a two headed coin from Tasmania is better than a helpful Queenslander.
