I believe it is a win for the SAINTS !

Selection # 18 would get us closer to selecting another quality midfielder or key defender as required, plus Savage is a ready made mid who goes pretty well !

IMO McEvoy is an average ruckman and I don't believe he will improve. He doesn't have any leap or awareness of what's going on around him. He is another Kosi when it comes to the ball in the air if someone bodies him while he is in motion he is lost. Best to get what we can for him before Hickey and others go sailing past him and he is worth much less.

You and other people do realise savage averages 13 possessions a game. 13. As many as Buddy kicked goals in a game. And even in his 4th year it was still 13 possessions. How is this guy a ready made mid?
13 & plays often as sub.

He has been unlucky as he has played about 60 games. Ledger probably averages more and he has been the sub about 5 times out of 8 games and we delisted him.

Mainly because in that team he is sent to a pocket or small forward role and has been used as a sub. When he plays on ball he goes well.

Of course. I didnt realise. Funny how Simpkin gets a run on the ball when he plays and he is also often sub.

Savage has deadly disposal & breakaway pace.

See for me, I don't personally think McEvoy is worth 18 on his own - so, as unlikely as this deal probably is, I'd take it and run with it.

We are talking about a ruckman, which Neil and Kosi definitely were not.

Thank god for the occasional troll around here… we are that bored with talking about how awesome Delaney is going to be that we nearly explode when a thread like this is made up.

Big Lewy Pierce is a natural tap ruckman and I think he could be used in an emergency but Hickey and Rhys are the obvious duo. Interchange caps are not going to be great for teams with two starting rucks who don't have other tricks.

Interesting that people keep mentioning how we should have kept ledger yet no club has even been linked with him!? Personally, I'd take the McEvoy deal if true. Hickey plays first ruck and Stanley as the chop out!

Same caps as this year. We should and hopefully will keep Ben.

We also have Hickey and Rhys Lightning. Can't play all of them..., and it certainly seemed like Ben was holding Hickey back...

Lew Pierce will be a beauty IMHO. He may not be ready yet, but if called upon... hey, nothing like a bit of fast tracking.
If we are really worried, we can always pick up a short term back up ruckman cheap late in the draft.

Big Ben's currency is dropping rapidly. Pick 18 alone is a good deal. Savage would be pretty great steak knives...

Where do we sign? :D

It's Dave, man. Will you open up? I got the stuff with me! -------Who?

My source tells me Giles and Cameron as well

Lance or James??

There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)
