Pick inside the top 5

Nick Smith involved.
Give us Smith and Rohan and MAYBE we can have a discussion
No way I would give up pick 3 for those 2…

We need genuine A grade mids not speedy forward pockets and medium defenders.

Essendon are insane if they think they can drive a hard bargain on Crameri…

The dogs 2nd round pick (eraly 20's) is very generous considering Crameri is out of contract, has PSD written all over it… I hope he walks, nobody wants to see Essendon allowed back into the draft.

I wonder if Crameri had to give any personal assurances that he hadn't had a jab in the guts.

With all due respect Peter Faulkes has been in the system for a few years and was delisted a few years ago by Sydney before coming home to play under Peter German and Casey before moving to Willy and was picked up by Freo. Good kid but serious leg injury last season has stifled his development. Good VFL footballer at best.

2010 draft FFS!
Why did we choose Cripps (WA) over Parker (local and tough Langwarrin kid)?
John Peake was seriously an agent of sabotage at our club.

Scott from Norf seem to think that, as Dal seems to want to go to Norf and the Saints want Delaney we should just swap!
I'll do my Polly if Pelch And Co are that stupid...

Yep it was so obvious.
The official AFL jay Clarke phantom had us taking Pitt ,( who has worse than diabetes ) but Freo took him.
Had Freo taking Jacobs , but port got him.
Had Port taking Lycett but he slid to West Coast who now have Ports potential first rounder and our actual first rounder as well as Gaff ( as predicted by the phantom ).

Meanwhile neither Cripps nor Parker were mentioned, so were clearly not obvious, but If we'd got Lycett we might have been able to waste our pick for Hickey on some spud. ( Who is better Hickey or Grundy )?

Well you keep defending this guy with your weird version of extreme relativism (everyone at every club is the same/anyone who works at afl club knows best and they are all geniuses)/

Sure its not an exact science but his hit rate/% was disgraceful.
Worst in Draft history. He deserves the full weight of blame for his period at recruitment at the Saints. Not sure why you want to let him off the hook.
If its all as random as you make out - wehy does anyone hire Recruitment people? They are all the same in your mind and it is all random anyway.
While were at - you also think gyms and weight training are a waste of time. So we should just get rid of that too. Sheesh pluggs you could save the club a fortune.

I think the fact that Ross wanted ready mades which left him with one or two picks didn't help. Two of the mature guys and one youngster were guns and it would have been genius. You look at first rounds and realise it's easier when you have multiple picks in the first round. Hawks had Roughy, Buddy and lewis come in the high first round. 3 out of 3 but that is so rare.

seems a lot like last year ... we had Cripps wanting to go to WCE , WCE had a contracted Brown that we wanted .. no way was a straight swap going to happen , in the end we took what we could get for cripps and missed out on Brown ... Delanney wants to come to St Kilda, we have a contracted Dal that north want... no way will a straight swap happen , in the end North will take what ever they can get for Delanney and if we are not satisfied by the trade offer for Dal we will just keep him

Just because we need a key back has nothing to do with Dal getting to North.

Delaney is crap too so lets not bother

correct but sum one just compared the situation to last year brown/cripps , i cant comment on delaney as a player but a crap/turd may be better at FB than wat we dished up down there last few years . Zac dawson may be a gold nugget then

I don't know enough about John Peake to argue the pros and cons of his time with us but he must be one of our only ever exports to Geelong .
That road has been a one way street in the past !
I dream of the day we offload our unwanted to them :-)
That will mean ...
A. We are a power
B. They are not ;-)

A bit rich from Scott saying Delaney wants to come to the Saints and he is a good bloke and we will do our best to get him there in a suitable trade.... especially considering the suitable trade they worked out for Jacobs and Hine last year.
