There have been suggestions that Sam Fisher is acting beneath his age and needs to grow up.
I suggested that now that Holmes was coming Fisher might want to "put his hat on backwards and hang around the hood".
It was an attempt at humour more at Fisher's expense and the way he's been reported to have been acting rather than any preconceptions about Holmes.

The "big dick" is reference to "John Holmes" so its a joke about his name not his race. ( Similar to TOm Lee who shares a name with a Motley Crue bass player and may possibly be on the internet somewhere with Pamela Anderson ).

I hate having to explain jokes it ruins them. But keep digging I'm sure you'll find something.

In one of the radio interviews he discussed becoming good friends with one of the other Americans trying to get rookied, and said that he's even taller at 207cm, so I assume it was him.
