Re: Ledger delisted
I'd have liked to have played him more. If he got enough of the ball it might have given him some trade value.

How can anybody outside the club tell?
He may not have put in as he wanted to go home? he may not have trained hard enough, he may have told the coach to get effed, the coach may just not like him etc etc etc.
Unless you are in the inner sanctum how in hell would you know if he was "managed" well or not? It is really a question based on ignorance and supposition.
As for assertions he should have been selected in front of Jones, can Ledger do the job Jones is there for at the moment, i.e take the no.1 oppositio mid and close them down? You understand that by doing this young players like Curran, Steven Armo etc get a chance to develop more.
Could Ledger have stopped Gary Ablett the way Jones did?
Really you just can compare what Jones does to what ledger can bring.
Oh BTW I am dissapointed he wanted to go - but he WANTED to go. And it is only supposition on your part that his "management" was the cause or had any part in him wanting to go.
Lance or James??
There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Tried with the last couple of games but obviously didn't attract anyone.Kickit wrote:I'd have liked to have played him more. If he got enough of the ball it might have given him some trade value.

Old enough to repaint, but young enough to sell
Re: Ledger delisted
Do you reckon the advice from his manager would be to request delisting, if he weren't assured a spot at another club
Freo or WC will take him IMO and he'll go we'll

He wouldn't 'delist himself' in 'search of opportunity' if nobody was interested

He is better in your eyes now that in your eyes stuffed up. You must Love this sort of stuff. The guy played 8 games in 3 years under 2 different coaches. That suggests there was some issues.

yeah but so are all the reasons he wasn't played morejoffaboy wrote: Oh BTW I am dissapointed he wanted to go - but he WANTED to go. And it is only supposition on your part that his "management" was the cause or had any part in him wanting to go.
it's just assumed that he isn't/wasn't up to it for whatever reason.
the evidence to me suggests he was at least worth a shot

I reckon Ledger will get a second chance at AFL level and make us look very stupid for not giving him more opportunity.

He'll make it easily....
A bloke I know umpires VFL and I've said it before, they have discussed him often at training... Is rated by them as above the level and from a consistency POV in the best couple in the VFL in a s*** team!
Most of his issues are grossly exaggerated on here, seen by his clean games r21/22 .... I reckon he's a good dual sided kick.... Decision making is sloppy and panicky ..... The common at stk....
Defensive running.... NO supporters even watch that, that's regurgitated garbage IMO ......
Most guys look scrappy in the VFL less space, less talent, less fitness, less structure, CONDITIONS

The one thing most here know is you will be hoping he makes it so you can tell us about how the club stuffed up and you were right. Its a pity we never hear when you are wrong like when Hardwick recruited Cousins.
Re: Ledger delisted
I don't mind saying that I hope he does make it somewhere else, and good luck to him.
Yes, I wished he had more opportunities.
Yes, on the little bit I saw I thought he looked promising.
But, the club has to turn players over and for whatever reason he's gone, so what!

In a s*** VFL team he finished 14th in the b&f... Only 126 votes behind cockie.BigMart wrote:He'll make it easily....
