Priorities:
Elite Tall Defender - Key position defender who can play straight away.
Midfielder - Who can run fast, kick well and get goals.
Secondary needs:
Key tall forward - Better than Wilkes but to support Riewoldt
Small forward - Losing Milne and Saad. Is Milera and Schneider enough?
Depth Tall defender - To add competition in defence.
Definitely agree with your priorities but I believe you may be underestimating Lee and the Minch.
I know after the last five years of s*** recruitment us Saints don't trust youth but we need to re learn to trust youth.
I think Lee will surprise a few next year if his injuries stay away. I expect Milera to lift as his fitness increases too. Probably play more away from goal though.
i also see something in Terry... hope he can become a outside mid runner... he has skill and speed..
SEN had a review of trades and they claimed Dal still a target for North and Essendon but we have apparently lost some of our interest in Delaney and he seemed confident that Bruce would be at the Saints next year. Said no one will want Sam fisher now.
Yep, good player if a bit small. My point was that being highly rated at underage level doesn't necessarily translate and maybe it hasn't with Weller, for whatever reason.
For instance, the Morrish has a pretty consistent record of going to players who are too small to be really good at the next level, but who were obviously superstars underage. Jarryd Blair and Rodan were just good enough to make it, but Luke Shackleton, Mungara Brown, Caruso, Farran Priest, Anton Woods and Alex Benbow make up a massive fraction of the last ten years. Cavarra and Chisari this year look like they might be similar.
I guess not many big guys are much good when they're young.
Hawthorn recruiters had dinner with the cavarra family tonight. They are certainly looking hard at him
Who says Adams is allowed to choose the club he goes to? He has already singled out a Victorian club. The choice is GWS and which trade offer they choose to accept.
I cannot possibly fathom how we are not moving heaven and earth to land Adams. He is EXACTLY what we need, in term of position, style, age, ability.
If the Pies get Adams for the total c**k sucker Shaw I will spew up.
The Pies are almost prepared to give him away for free so if they end up winning from the deal I will not be happy. Bucks cant get him out the door quick enough.
Surely Dal is better than Shaw.
Is this the seaford curse? Noone good wants to play for us. Or just people want to play for big clubs/big crowds? The latter I guess.

I'd be impressed with 3 more years.
Not many mids play far into their 30's these days.
That's correct, not many ever have.
But Dal is one of those with tricks, inside and out ball winning ability and stays healthy, reckon he plays to 35 myself.
Lenny gets to 34, Boomer to 36, Goodes is 34, Bolton got to 33, O'Keefe goes again at 33... and I won't mention Fletcher...
..and with the other article mentioning Dal's preference as North Melbourne IF the Saints want to trade him, then you would think the Saints and Roos at least have a starting point for negotiations with a decision of which draft picks to swap perhaps the sticking point

Bloody Seaford is a huge issue. Thanks to Archie Fraser
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.
Considering Melbourne is possibly putting their No 2 pick on the table, maybe we think Adams will require pick 3 to be part of the deal, and we aren't willing. I highly doubt that we would just let him walk past us without reason.
