I don't get it. In the last few weeks, I've read plenty of people on here insinuating that the following have big problems with Scott Watters continuing to be the Saints' head coach:

most - if not all - of the players
Chris Pelchen
Michael Nettlefold
Greg Hutchinson
Jaymie Graham

Can anyone explain clearly what is the story and does Watters have any friends left at St Kilda? This is starting to get pretty worrying.

It's not a good look - lots and lots of rumours and now, numerous "departures." As an outsider, it seems that the Board and new Chairman may be focusing on "performance." Let's hope so!

As for the Coach, it's not a good look there either. Let's see who the Board backs - the Coach, or disgruntled players??

At least we aren't like the old days where the players dictated who should stay and who should go. I think personally the whole regime was probably a little drunk on their GF performances and the stars got over paid and the admin were happy to push up their wages.

I hope it's a rationalisation where the money is being spent in areas that will help put our best performances on the oval not paying huge salaries to people who have failed to bring in more money or more members and even our revitalised facilities are unpopular with many of the club's fans and staff.

Utter disaster if so

Have heard how he operated at Dees and was scary - complete cabbage

A little unsure about Scott's mate selection if true -

Lyon turns em over and works them
But you his decisions aren't emotional (classic psychopath but good at what he does...)

So people that hold higher positions than Scott, would walk instead of sacking him?

Makes no sense to me Austinnn

Everything Neeld had done before the Dees he was highly praised for. Think he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. A lot of the heirachy subsequently left or got the sack at the Dees. He had little support and drowned. No reason to chuck him on the scrap-heap. He probably learnt a lot, including he's a better no 2 or 3 than Head Coach.

I wouldn't write him off. Still only a rumour anyway.

Somehow , i don't think being employed to move the witches hats can harm the club going forward..

How many defenders will The Saints pick in the 2024 draft ?

Quite right. He'd be a good 'bibs and cones' man. No harm there.

THERE has been another football department departure at St Kilda, with assistant coach Jaymie Graham leaving the club.

It is believed Graham is keen to return home to his native state of Western Australia.

This season was a total failure in many areas for the club, and no reason to retain any assistants, and obviously the senior coach stays. *Edit* I wonder if Nettlefold had a large input in assistant coach roles, over-riding Watters? It sort of makes sense that he quits and assistant coaches go en masse.

Have any assistant coaches gone so far? As far as I can see, Kingsley, Laidley and Sexton are all still there.

Finances aren't great. 3 senior players are trade bait. 2 assistant coaches will go. Scott will be there till the end of 2016. We've been through worse.
