Re: Giants move ON Sam Fisher
Yes big news - our list could/will look different next year.
I know you support the club but I'm lukewarm on whether I want our stars
traded out to regenerate the list....

Why would he want to go there?
I'd understand SOS wanting him.
Unless Pelchen doesn't care much what they want?

Will have to involve a player also I'd think....if it was only a 3rd or 4th round selectionluckysaint wrote:GWS 3/4th rounder maybe? If Chips wants a move
I would baulk at the trade.

Fisher is cheesed off at the way the club has handled his injuries. I'd be far less troubled by this trade that I would be about Dal, as long as we get a good deal.

Make him part of the Bruce deal.
If Chips is open to a trade and Bruce wants to come to us then we have a pretty strong bargaining position.

Re: Giants move ON Sam Fisher
GWS seems to "potentially" involved in almost every trade deal at every club at the moment. Could it be that they are using their position to try to de-stabilize every other club in the comp !!
NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!
Re: Giants move ON Sam Fisher
If we pushed Chips out, maybe there is a correlation between the imagination of Caro Wilson and the words of Watters recently at the B & F?
I have a feeling Bruce and Fisher aren't the only two to be discussed to move between these two clubs.

They arent going to do that. Pick one is far to valuable.

.....to be honest here, I felt a feeling of "Where there's smoke, there's fire." in regards to "certain" articles that were written about Fisher this year.
Couple that with the fact he's 31 and coming off a season ruined by injury, I think we should explore this trade aggressively.

Sometimes I think people play games like NBA Live 2013, or whatever it's called these days, and trade the entire bench of the Washington Wizards for LeBron James, Dwight Howard, Chris Paul, Carmelo Anthony & Kevin Love, then think "Hey, maybe these kind of offers work in real life?"plugger66 wrote:sax wrote:Fisher + pick 3 for Bruce + pick 1?

Yes, can you explain what he is cheesed of about, what has the club done wrong?fingers wrote:How? why?Waltzing St Kilda wrote:Fisher is cheesed off at the way the club has handled his injuries. I'd be far less troubled by this trade that I would be about Dal, as long as we get a good deal.

They put him on ice early. Helps increase his trade value as he'll be fit the off season. No they wouldn't do it, but this a forum, which means you can put things out there.Stillwaiting wrote:Yes, can you explain what he is cheesed of about, what has the club done wrong?fingers wrote:How? why?Waltzing St Kilda wrote:Fisher is cheesed off at the way the club has handled his injuries. Re: Giants move ON Sam Fisher
Why is this unrealistic? Essentially it comes down to whether fisher is a two places draft pick better player than Bruce. Pretty easy to argue that he is. Don't think it will happen but far from the worse idea I've heard. The Saintsational Man wrote:Sometimes I think people play games like NBA Live 2013, or whatever it's called these days, and trade the entire bench of the Washington Wizards for LeBron James, Dwight Howard, Chris Paul, Carmelo Anthony & Kevin Love, then think "Hey, maybe these kind of offers work in real life?"plugger66 wrote:sax wrote:Fisher + pick 3 for Bruce + pick 1?

Sorry to see Sam leave, but age 31, he's not part of the future.
As Con has said, we were good 4 years ago, but hey, get real, its
not a retirement home.
