Lazy, unfit, not that effective, not that successful.... Took drugs like Michael Gardiner and 10% or 50 other afl players....
He was the highest profile player though.... Where did his profile come from?!
Footy culture of successful performance.... Not sure BC was light on there.... What didn't he win???

A diehard supporter told ne that they used to send an official around on training days to ensure he was either out of bed , Or in a fit state to attend training. Not sure if it's true , or if that's still the case.kimberly saint wrote:SainterK wrote:I can't remember, but didn't he and Connors make the news?
sorry your correct , sleeping pills it was missed training or so they say
Richmond did state that they had invested a great deal of time and effort into him off the feild
I think he is a great impact player but also a bit of a frontrunner , didn't appear to do much when the heat was on late in the final
And the president said " I did not have sex with that woman"
And our former president said " Football is like golf"
Go Sainters !!!!!

That's exactly what WestCoast were doing with Gardiner in the end evidently and he turned out OK for what it's worthsupersaints wrote:kimberly saint wrote:SainterK wrote:I can't remember, but didn't he and Connors make the news?[/

Difference being it was pretty much down to all or nothing for Gardie to accept our lifeline though

I'd rather save my bickies and go hard at bryce Gibbs in free agency at the end of next year, will be 26 at start of 2015 season.
I agree on Garlett but Bryce Squibbs is a no for me.

Re: Dusty
The Richmond Football Club has been advised by Dustin Martin and his management of their desire to pursue offers from other clubs.
The decision comes after months of negotiations, and despite being close to reaching agreement, the advice has been that Dustin wants to consider other options.

Clearly has another offer he has accepted - everything else is PR.
For the club to come out and make that statement, he must be gone.

Re: Dusty
Three wouldn't be a chance in the world we would take him I reckon. The coach sends a msg to Armo and Fisher that they're not to associate with him and travel o/s with him, and then they go and recruit the loser? I don't think so.

Re: Dusty
We can't possibly tell Armo and Chips not to holiday with the bloke and then recruit him.
Unless we're ditching Armo and Chips.
All of those options are bad.
I'm with Sainter K. No Deal! Ross can have him. Anyone else can have him.

He can't just accept an offer though… he's got to get to that club somehow.True Believer wrote:Clearly has another offer he has accepted - everything else is PR.

Either a trade or through the draft, surely Richmond would ask for a top 5 pick
I guess if Buddy turns down GWS for some reason, they will be able to offer Martin an obscene amount of dough.
I'm not against us having a dip at him, though you'd want a pretty water-tight contract written up… any naughtiness or drug test failures and he voids his contract.

I would be shocked if we picked him up. He has potential, but seems to have too much baggage.

Re: Dusty
Would take him in a heartbeat!
Future starting midfield of Steven (currently 23), Armo (25) and Martin (22) is a great place to start our rebuild.
Second string started from Seb Ross (20), Jack Newnes (20), and Webster (20).
With Hayes(33), Montagna (29), Dal Santo (29) and Ray (27) sticking around the transition should be relatively smooth with regards to midfielders.
I'd be seriously looking at Dale Thomas (26) as well, if we think his body will hold up.
There are some players I haven't included but it is amazing how good our midfield looks if you add one or both of Martin and Thomas.

We don't really know the details of what Scott has actually asked the players to do…SainterK wrote:Dunno, but if Scott asks players to cancel their o/s trip with him?jaxons wrote:Massive chance to be at the Saints.

He might have said "maybe going to Vegas is a bad idea guys…"

Re: Dusty
Heard on the grapevine months ago if Buddy is off to GWS, then Dusty will be in a Hawks jumper next year.
Nothing so far has indicated otherwise, as Buddy seems as good as gone, so other pieces may start to fall into place..
