I know that it's only rumours but trade rumours on fbook page has white heavily linked to the saints
Re: Jesse white
I'm not sure I'd put him in the category of Amazing, his goals per game are less than Tom Lee's.Jarred wrote:Would be amazing if we could land him! Has come on leaps and bounds this year.

Big, strong, and actually pretty quick.
Can kick.
Can take a mark.
Can play key forward and also in the ruck.
But...,
I can see him playing centre half back, with the dangerous (for the opposition) option of throwing him back up forward at times.
I called for this (elsewhere) a month or so ago... would love to see it happen.
It's Dave, man. Will you open up? I got the stuff with me! -------Who?

Re: Jesse white
He reminds me a little of Dawes who looked great in a great team. I'm a little concerned he's a little B grade but he would def help in the tall department at the right age bracket.
Re: Jesse white
His mother has returned to live in Melbourne from Qld. Probably knows a fit and younger Sam Reid would be ahead of him going forward. Then there is Tippet and possibly Tommy Walsh. Not a real ruckman but can pinch hit. At the age group where Saints have a shortage. Believe he would like to play for a Melbourne club where he could get more game time. Could add value for the Saints but at what cost?
Re: Jesse white
Could have got him for nothing last year, but now the swans would be asking a bit for him imo..
Re: Jesse white
I just feel that with Maister and Lee, we need a forward with a bit more substance. Otherwise we end up like Carlton with a collecton of tall ruck forwardy sorts of players none of which are that good in the end.

Re: Jesse white
WOuld only make sense for mine to pick up White if we're looking to trade away Ben McEvoy.
Perhaps pick up White for #40 and trade McEvoy to GWS for #9.
THen we'd line up with Hickey as #1 ruck, playing Riewoldt and Lee as CHF/FF and Stanley and White as joint 3rd Tall/second ruck. We may not be able to play all 5 but then we have depth for injury/loss of form, and with both White and Stanley being quick/reasonably good below the knees and being ok kicks, either could also run along a wing during a game for a spell. COuld also look to start with all 5 with the plan to use a speedier mid as substitute for one of them.
This would also leave us with a succession plan to Rooey leaving, having Spencaa up our sleeves as an up and coming Tall too.

Re: Jesse white
And dont forget we will be blooding our own White as a big forward next season. With Markwell fit, I cant see any need for another big forward. We will have, Reiwoldt, Stanley, Lee, Maister, Markwell, White, all forwards of size.

I hope he marks well.
Re: Jesse white
Markworth would be worth it if he can mark well, but he's really only 189. Shorter than Siposs.

Re: Jesse white
I watch the swans alot and believe me now Jesse White realises that and has the confidence he can match it in the AFL,and this has only happened in the last ten weeks, he is going to be a star
Big, fast, agile, can kick a goal ... would take him in a heartbeat

Re: Jesse white
Maister scored 10 goals in his last 7 games. White scored 12.
White gets a bit more contested ball .... but its such a small improvement you really have to wonder if it would be worth the effort.
Like I said, I'd like someone with a bit more substance to replace Riewoldt.

White is a much better player than Maister. Much more promise but we arent getting all these players. And we need mids. Not sure we need more tall forwards unless we are saying we have picked duds previously. mids mids and just incase we cant get mids then we should chase mids.
