Ross Lyon will win the flag 2013
After watching the performance of Freo at the weekend, I am convinced that they will win the premiership.

Likely.
Though that last hurdle before making one is incredibly hard, saints only just made both really.
Helps that it's in Perth.
I'm staggered nobody sends a hard tag to Barlow, the footy that he missed was their worst this year.

The manner in which they tackled the cats on their own ground shows how determined and hardened that side has become. Ross Lyon will make sure that the home Prelim will be won. 2013 premiers, nothing more certain.

It hurts to think that the Dockers will win a flag before we get our second one! but the reality is that Freo are going to the big show, and are going to WIN.

They will def make grand final, and really they deserve it after their performance on Saturday.
There was no bitching about having to go down there, (I think Ross was secretly happy suits their game plan).
They prob can go all the way, but if they play Hawthorn, not sure they can stop all their goal scorers. I will be watching with great
interest though, and not even sure who I would barrack for on the day.

Re: Ross Lyon will win the flag 2013
They bullied the Cats.
The funniest was Johnson chargin over at Mayne to remonstrate, and for Mayne to charge straight back at him and Johnson s*** his dacks. Then when he had a go at Crowley after the siren, and was put back in his box immediately and jibbed it.
Lyon has clearly got them believing in themselves and they're a very good team, made up of some very, very talented players.
Having said that, I do see a reliance on 3-4 guys - whereas Hawthorn just won by nearly 10 goals without two of their best players.
So they'll have a tough taks in the GF.

Agree, which is why whichever of the Swans/Carlton make it....Kieran Jack or Andrew Carrazzo needs to hard tag Barlow. Also play someone on Mayne, who is a major barometer.Johnny Member wrote: Having said that, I do see a reliance on 3-4 guys - whereas Hawthorn just won by nearly 10 goals without two of their best players.

Carrazzo is out for the year and Im unsure Jack does much tagging anymore as he is now their best ball winner. I wouldnt tag Barlow anyway. he gets plenty but butchers a fair bit of it. Mayne should always have someone on him as he is a forward.

Is he? I thought he was a chance to return.plugger66 wrote:SainterK wrote:Agree, which is why whichever of the Swans/Carlton make it....Kieran Jack or Andrew Carrazzo needs to hard tag Barlow. You don't watch Freo much, Barlow is a gun.
I know Mayne should have someone on him, I meant more of a 2011 Dempster style tag.
Re: Ross Lyon will win the flag 2013
If the Hawks cant break their hoodoo against the Cats it will put Freo in a good spot.

I do watch freo much. I reckon Barlow gets a lot of ball but i would tag Fyffe before any other player at freo and by a long way. barlow gets it a hell of a lot but he can butcher the ball. maybe I should say you dont watch freo much. I will tell you the truth though. I didnt see one kick of the game this week and didnt even know the result until 7pm.
Re: Ross Lyon will win the flag 2013
It's my opinion plugger, shut down his engine room. Worked effectively against us in 2009, and when Barlow was missing this year they were ordinary.
Someone has to win it in the guts first, and that they did v the cats, and that's what (IMO) someone needs to put time into.
You're welcome to yours and tagging Fyfe.

It's who they'd least like to encounter IMO.matrix wrote:i hope the hawks smash the absolute shite out of them on gf day
Their goal spread this year has been ridiculous, very unpredictable and hard to plan against.

RL has the stronger player list - it remains to be seen whether that will be enough against a better coached team in Hawthorn, even without a fit Rioli.matrix wrote:i hope the hawks smash the absolute shite out of them on gf day

Hawthorn & Geelong have stronger lists available, comfortably.

Not really, it's clear that you are so bitter & twisted that you can't accept that Ross is a good coach.samoht wrote:That's debatable, dragit.
