Would We Want Goddard Back?
Have heard that 8 Essendon Players have spoken with Matt Finnis about walking out on their current contracts with Essendon.
Would we be surprised if Goddard came back to the Saints on a much lesser contract.
I was surprised to see Goddard at the Saints last game and thought If he had realised what a mistake he had done.
Don't attack me on this,it is just a thought?
Love the Saints..................................

Will we have a spare Rookie spot?

I wouldn't care, I'd welcome him back.
Not sure Pelchen would though...

I wouldn't care either. I don't think the club would appreciate it though considering he turned the club's previous offer down.

Re: Would We Want Goddard Back?
In a heartbeat
but we are not much closer to success than when he left
and we don't have Sydney's salary cap flexibility!

Re: Would We Want Goddard Back?
I will welcome him back with an open arm...but I am only a member of the club and I will not have day to day dealings with him...therefore there must be an open discussion involving all players and coaches (people who will have to interact with him) and a consensus reached before his return..
Re: Would We Want Goddard Back?
Don't know the players, but was reported in the paper.
Remember I didn't state Goddard but wouldn't it be ironic if he was one of those players?

Almost payback for Lovett. BJ would love to be back to finish with Roo, Lenny, Monty, Dal etc.
Gehrig emerged from scans yesterday saying he was "as sweet as a bun"

He'll never be back at St Kilda FC. Has made the break and will stay at Essendon. Story ENDED!

Door is always open for BJ.......still Red, Black and White pumping through those veins, it's obvious. He's gone away for a few years to top up his super but the prodigal son will be back.

He might come back one day as one of Lenny's assistant coachesWatts the Buzz wrote:Door is always open for BJ.......still Red, Black and White pumping through those veins, it's obvious. He's gone away for a few years to top up his super but the prodigal son will be back.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?
Re: Would We Want Goddard Back?
No point at all unless he played for less than 400K a year. Anyway he is very happy at Essendon. They would have to be kicked out of the AFL for him to leave.
