Re: Tom Lee
I was aware that he wasn't going to play this week, but did I see him going through the warm up in the rooms before the game?
As for the OP, is that two separate questions ??

Re: Tom Lee
Remember when Lee kicked something like 5 behinds in a practice match or sandy game earlier in the year and people were claiming he was a bad kick for goal. Haha. Dead eye dick.
Also having read about Ledger for the past two months I started thinking I could kick better than him. Not likely.

I hope you mean operation and not the luke ball style op.BackFromUSA wrote:Played today injured. Getting op ASAP.
sheesh, it wasn't ideal losing BJ- but watching he and hickey run around for 10 years will be good consolation.
I bought a shirt from Target once.
It had a hard tag on it too.

Yep I was told he was having the op last week, but they must have decided play him for some reason.BackFromUSA wrote:Played today injured. Getting op ASAP.

Re: Tom Lee
Tom Lee is going to be at the very least an extremely handy full forward for us.
If he is able to average 2-3 goals a game id say he's been worth the draft pick we spent on him

Good to see a Saints player who can nail a set shot from an acute angle. Saad can do it too ... if he ever gets another chance.

He's a good converter so he doesn't need huge stats to be effective. The antithesis of Riewoldt really.

Re: Tom Lee
He's not there yet,but he is one of those players you look at early and say WTF were they thinking, then they turn it around.
My biggest one of these types was Sam Fisher when he started...
He looks to have footy smarts, once he gets his body right,he looks without being a messiah, but a very handy forward.

When he had three goals up early yesterday I thought he was on for five or six. I dont understand why he did not kick another goal.

Because once the team was up by enough it was kick it to Milne and Kosi and in the end Blake!

Re: Tom Lee
That's a great summary. I like his development this year but he seems to do best at the moment when the heat is not on and he can get space easy (like yesterdays game). Needs to develop his leading. Even yesterday he didn't really seem to know where to lead and just kind of lurks around. That could be due to instructions to keep out of Rooey's way. Yesterday he competed quite hard when the ball hit the ground. Needs to make that a habit. Will be competing with Stanley and White for a tall forward spot.jonesy wrote:He's not there yet,but he is one of those players you look at early and say WTF were they thinking, then they turn it around.
