Can we beat freo?
Milney seems to find it poetic his last game is v his former coach.
The motivation of milestones & retirements add some emotion to it.
Blakey, schneids, gilbo, Milney, Len back in have really given us some composure.
Ballantyne under some doubt...
Traditionally though, we know Ross would want to be fine tuning this week.
I'm looking forward to our guys facing the challenge.

Nope
Lance or James??
There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

Will beat them. Reminiscent of Harvey's 350th.
Last thing they need is a grueling match only to travel back here next week.
If we hit hard and keep hitting all game we'll get them.

No
But we'll have a crack for a while.... Run out of steam...
Would be awesome if we could cause an epic upset.... Unlikely... They are clinical and effective.... RL trademark is his teams rarely lose to inferior opposition

Re: Can we beat freo?
The week mundy/Barlow didn't play they were awful.
Why can't we replicate that and make them as good as non existent?
We know Ross struggles when people shut down his engine room.
Jones/Geary/Ray to rotate on Barlow/mundy.
Lets help other teams see how to beat them.

We ere a far better team than them when they were beating us during Lyon's tenure!BigMart wrote:Unusual circumstances that night ...... Essendon is a far better team than Us

Oh, ok... I missed your point
Possibly Essendon had a GP, match ups or strategy that undid us.... Having said that, we also smashed the sometimes...
We struggled with Ryder, Hill and their pace off HB... And inside power of Jobe

Re: Can we beat freo?
If they rest a few then we can.
If not it's still a nightmare final game scenario for them with our retirements, they will fly home sore. We will throw everything at them,it will be a brusing encounter.
Very much looking forward to it

Re: Can we beat freo?
Win or lose Freo are unlikely to move from 3rd position. To celebrate the retirement of some club legends we have nothing to lose and should enjoy the challenge.
Also we played pretty well against them in Perth not long ago, so if we bring that sort of game we aren't totally out of the question.

i think we can win....we have added class in schneids...speed , and just as importantly, ball winning ability in ledger and curren...add ross to that last one....toughness and steadiness in blake and lenny , with a bit of dash from gilbert...and goal kicking ability in kossi.....
also its the boys last game together with milney, blakey and kossi retiring........milestones in schneids and kossi playing their 200th games.....
.....if freo leaves half their team at home and takes their foot off the pedal....they are dead meat......we are not a 4 wins per season team on what i saw last sunday........better than that...much better.....
.everybody still loves lenny....and we always will

Re: Can we beat freo?
We did stitch them up a few years ago in the final round at Docklands when they needed a win to make the 8.
Clearly different scenario to now, but who knows?

And I know this probably makes me a bad person, but gee I'd love to physically hurt them to stuff their finals campaign.
