Leave your tributes here for Milney - to be printed
I thought I'd make up books to behalf of Saintsational to print and send to the club for both the saints museum and to be given to the players.
We did one for Max...
and also made up ones on the passing of Jeans and Baldock.
If you would like to leave tributes to Milney please do so and I'll copy them into a book

Milney,
In 140 years of footy you are simply one of the greatest to have ever played the game. We are so proud of you. Thanks for all the thrills.

Thanks Stephen, you are the heart and soul of our club and the place won't be the same with out you. So many of my favourite footy memories were provided by you have inspired a generation of cheeky small side steppers who will be running around in the AFL in the next decade. Love your work.

Thanks Milney, you should be very proud of what you've been able to achieve.
You'll end up playing 275 games and kicking 570 + goals, you'll go down as one of the greatest, if not the greatest small forward in the history of the game.
Best of luck in the future

Absolute champion of the club and a pleasure to watch over the years. Always brings a buzz about him with his record of doing the impossible when hanging around the goals, he was truly the barometer of the team and will be missed for many years to come.
Thank you Milney, thank you.

The void you will leave is enormous, it will never be the same without you.

The stats will show you were a champion. But will not go close to explaining how much excitement, energy and heart your brought to our club.

Re: Leave your tributes here for Milney - to be printed
It’s not always easy following the St Kilda Football Club.
We have enjoyed some moments of relative success and have dared to dream of once again witnessing a Premiership Cup being raised on that last Saturday in September. However the reality to supporting our club is that one will witness many periods of frustration; days when we wonder whether we ever will again climb that mountain. Times when, quite frankly, many of us must wonder why we even bother.
Well Stephen Milne, you are one of the reasons why people such as me DO bother.
What you have brought to this club, and indeed to this sport, is quite unique. You have been an inspiration and a barometer to both your team mates and to your supporters. And although the sport will always have lively small forwards, it will never again have “Milney”.
I feel privilege to have watched your career and wish you all the best in the years that follow.

You'll be sadly missed, Stephen. This is like Rob Harvey and Stewie Loewe retiring all over again.
All the very best for the future.

Will miss you Milney. In a time of champions you were something special. Will miss you leading the song. Will miss you playing on and bending goals. Will even miss the odd play on and and stuff up. Always exciting. Always revving the boys and the crowd up. Always special!

My family and I will miss you mate. You have given us countless hours of sheer pleasure watching you play.
Your evasive skills and goal kicking abilities are the greatest I have seen in over 60 years of watching football.
Your love and passion for the St Kilda football club has been there for all to see.
I have you in my greatest ever 22 St Kilda players.
Good luck for the future. I hope you stay involved with the Saints .
Regards,
Stinger.

One of the nicest and most respectful Saints I've met. Proud to have you as a Saint Milney, you will be greatly missed.
Won't be the same without you. Who's going to sing the song with such gusto now?
Are you sure you want to retire?

Milney,
My hero since what feels like forever! From regular trips to training with mum, to wearing the 44 with pride at the footy. You were the heart and soul of this club and made my day on so many occasions. I will be forever grateful and cherish my endless memories forever. I couldn't have been more lucky to have you as my favourite player. Mum and I will certainly miss reliving your countless highlights! Sadly this inevitable day has come, all the best and thanks again for the momories.

You have been one of my all-time favourite players Steven and I wish you all the best in the future. Many of us are going to miss the added spark you brought to the game. Quite simply it just won't seem the same without you.
Someone mentioned the likes of Lowe and Burkey and how your retirement runs along in those veins, and they are right. A club legend, that's what you are, and someone I'll always be in awe of until the day I die. The hot-stepper, the whizz-banger, you beauty Stevie Milne #44!

When they created LENNY HAYES (in the shadow of Harvs) they forgot to break the mold (again)- hence the Supremely Incredible Jack Steven!!
