Re: Sen saying Milne will retire next week
I will miss the little man. Will be a very emotional day. I'm so glad we are playing home against an interestate club and he won't have to put up with the same amount of BS that he cops every week from opposition fans.
Gee, wouldn't it be something if we pulled off an upset? I'm not ruling that one out because our players will be giving their all for Milney, Schides and Kosi. But I'll keep a lid on that one all the same.

Shame, but given our situation it's time.
Has lost no pace, but i reckon his fitness base has been lacking this year.
We are going to miss him.

Re: Sen saying Milne will retire next week
He's been an Afl champion , should go straight into the hall of fame when eligible . but probably wont due to the cops not doing there job properly .
Saying that it's no great shock
he's 33 out of contract and today played only his second good game of the season !

Was it his decision do you think? Before the charges, they were about to give him another year. Maybe he just wants to get out of the spotlight or maybe the club had had enough. I will miss him that is for sure.

Re: Sen saying Milne will retire next week
Its the right time for him to go - even ignoring the charges piece.
Could possibly have gone around one more year but imho would have been a little slower and less productive next year assuming his body held up.
I know we will give a Kosi (and Milney) a fantastic send-off this week but it was a little sad to see Kosi plodding around in the 2s earlier this year because of form. Would really prefer none of our champs have to finish this way and then be gifted a final game.
I can already taste the bitter sweet of next weeks final siren.

He's 33, he's body defied the odds really.
Slowed down a bit this year, reckon todays form was more about making the most of it and he was playing on adrenalin.

He's (he is) 33, his (not he's) body defied the odds. It's not that difficult.SainterK wrote:He's 33, he's body defied the odds really.

Re: Sen saying Milne will retire next week
Definitely time.
Lost a yard and has bigger things to focus on - NOW and Next year are the times we get a view of how well as a clkub we stick. We should be there with Milne through these charges - I hope we dont drop the ball just cause he retires.
