I foolishly didn't do this for 2009 or 2010. I was too young in 1997 to realise the grievance and yearning these losses bring to all of us.
The yearning....

Training, fitness, talent, discipline. It is not enough. We need help from other realms. And it will come!!

Yo Ralphy, I can't help but be also superstitious and will definitely join you on this one. I think we may need a voodoo witch doctor to help cast all evil spirits away. We may need to conduct the ritual at a specific time as well.

I look forward to it but I fear we'll be playing the newly minted Wellington Bombers (has a nice ring doesn't it?) who desperately need a premiership to establish themselves as a franchise.

The AFL will pull out all stops to hand them a win. Gift them power forwards from lesser clubs, offer them salary cap advantages, and even corrupt the tribunal process to make sure they have every chance at an ill-deserved flag. Don't laugh, it could happen.
