Has Ledger already committed elsewhere???

Post: # 1375409Post CURLY »

Could Ledger have already agreed to be elsewhere for next season and as a result not being played? Or at least told the club his desires to be elsewhere next season some time mid season?

You at least pay so you can have a contract. We dont even pay so its bloody hard to get someone to sign a contract.

I've always thought Ledger probably wanted to go home last year, but it was too difficult to get a trade done for him and Cripps at the same time, while also trying to deal for Mitch Brown. So he'll just go quietly as the end of this year - even if it is just to a WAFL team now.

His form has been good enough to get a game in the seniors who are struggling for a midfield, so I guess Watters doesn't have him in the plans for 2014, or as others have said, maybe Tom has made plans to move on already and is just playing out the season.

As I said in another thread, VFL umpires have discussed Tom L at training and are miffed about why he can't get a game, they believe he is way above VFL and has the ball on a string every week.... And if Sandy weren't such a basket case, he'd be a favourite in the Liston...

I reckon he'd do OK in the lower grade Ammos considering he'll have finished top few in a VFL team B&F three years in a row?!

Two options going fwd for Tom
1- WAFL.... He'll dominate, get rookied by WCE or Freo like Mark Hutchings. He'll average 35 a game for Claremont
Or
2- Freo will rookie him next year and Ross will bring out his best

He'd fit in well at 'Ross Lyon's school for kids who can't kick good'
We should package CJ up with him for Viv.

So instead of telling us what may happen tell us if you think the saints should keep him.

Near certainty.

Dud coaches (who were dud players) beget dud players.

Who is the dud player?

Really? Have you bothered to watch any Freo game this year? Perhaps you should have a look at the ladder. In case you are having trouble reading it, I have highlighted the important bits:

1.Hawthorn
2.Geelong Cats
3.Sydney Swans
4.Fremantle
5.Collingwood
6.Richmond
7.Essendon
8.Port Adelaide

9.Carlton
10.West Coast Eagles
11.North Melbourne
12.Adelaide Crows
13.Brisbane Lions
14.Gold Coast Suns
15.Western Bulldogs
16.St Kilda
17.Melbourne
18.GWS Giants

Get used to the differential.

No need to be a complete wad grandpa…

I'm a Ross fan, he had us at the top of the ladder with Blake, Baker, Dawson, Ray, Peake, Polo, Jones, Eddy, Gram etc in the side… unbelievable for a side with so many questionable kicks.

He seems to rate fitness & role playing higher than elite skills… with pretty amazing results.

No need for the abuse either. The "new rules" seem to allow some posters to be abused without penalty and repeat abusers to go without penalty.

Watters just doesn't rate Ledger, that's all there is to it! Would expect he will find his way as a senior footballer if he can maintain his desire to go back through system elsewhere! Gets too much ball to not get a shot somehow! Shame we are to stubborn to explore his potential IMO! Probably end up on Essendon list as part of a massive drafting of previously listed players they need to field a side next year!

Maybe this year?

I reckon hes on his way and Watters knows it - why else wouldnt he get a game?

Freo a certainty...Lyon will think he has enough midfield class so an in/under midfield soldier would be handy....even if he butchers it at times.

I actually think if the above isnt the case we are derelict NOT attempting to find out IF ledger can cut it at AFL level.

Something is not right here.

Watters clearly knows something about him that he does not like. In our current team, there should be no reason at all that Ledger should be left out. Something isn't right.
