We need a player like Lockett or Barker to reenergise the supporter base, I'd suggest. Heard that Eagles supporters provided a larger crowd presence than Essendon today, so it happens sometimes.
I remember outnumbering Hawthorn supporters at Princes Park in the early 90s and still see a lot of st kilda jumpers around,as well as bumper stickers to suggest that we are just a couple of great players away from getting supporters back to games.
