Thats true but it also shows the AFL are at least trying in some way of evening up the competition which will certainly need in the next 2 years. We are in a world of pain over the next few years.

Ill be very happy with 2 guys in the top 20 - Pick 3 should be fairly easy - Pick 19 or whatever we get will be where Elshaugh really earns his money! If we get them both right it will make a massive difference.

Then If Markworth and Spencer come on like we ll hope- we will be in a good place in 3 years.

Unfortunately GWS have activated one of their priority picks to be taken mid 1st round (pick 10), and Gold Coast have as well to be taken end of 1st round. Even with Adelaide and Essendon out of contention our 2nd pick will be 21, so two picks in first 21. 21 still better than any pick we have had since Armo and Ben.

Why not? He's a small forward who can't play as a mid and he ticks all of Dragit's other boxes as well.

Don't forget we'd also get Hampson or someone like Armfield.
