Spencer got the ABC goal of the day- second for the year

How did Spencer play overall?

Very positive to see the Minch on the score sheet because Milney is probably done next year and the other 3 small fwds lack the fierceness we need.

Perosnally I feel spencer is giving a more even performance- and not just the flash of brilliance now and again.

Big Spence is definitely getting more and more consistent. Speaking to couple players at function before game they agreed with me that TBBO doesnt suit White (and also Lee, hence lack "performances".

Spencer White (8 disposals, 3 marks, 2 goals): White started the game driven and almost had two goals to his name in the first quarter. He ran and chased at every contest and McPhee is very excited with his progress.

“He is playing as our number one target at the moment and he is 18 years old. He is having a really good year from the performance point of view for us, but more importantly for him I think he is learning an enormous amount. He is competing, chasing, he is working, so they are all good habits to learn.” McPhee told True Zebras.

Sandringham yet to hear from St Kilda about an extension to VFL alignment. Expires in October and Zebras have asked for three more years.

Sandringham hopes a meeting with St Kilda officials, chief executive Michael Nettlefold and head of football Chris Pelchen next Saturday will resolve whether the two clubs can continue their alignment for another three years.

Zebras president Gerard Ryan said if the two parties couldn't reach common ground the VFL club would stand-alone in 2014.

"We have asked St Kilda for respect for one another,'' Ryan said.

No formal announcement on the future of the alignment but word from Saints is 2 years - then stand alone.. at Moorabbin- many things to fall into place for that to happen.
