Re: Curren In!
Yeah hope he gets a full game as well. Smart guy, tough nut, works hard, dedicated. The sort of guy I expect once he gets a look in, he won't let the opportunity slip and won't be easy to displace and won't give many reasons to be dropped.
I hope I'm right.

Good luck to the kid, I know how hard he has worked and can't wait to see him string a few games together.

I already know the answer to that. Hint, it's not Clint jones.bobmurray wrote:Well done to Tom Curren. After this game he'll be able to say he has played AFL footy.
I'm not sure who is the better disposer of the footy, Curren or Jones. They can answer that for me on Saturday night.

Re: Curren In!
You can't help like Tom C - he looks like a nice young guy. He's always smiling and looks like he was really getting his body right from the start of last year when he came back with guns the size of water melons and looking in AFL ready shape. You can't help but respect the guys who work harder and persist through the rookie system and vfl to make the seniors. Lets hope he's Barlow mark II.

Re: Curren In!
boy wouldn't that just be the final kick in the teeth.
Curren = Sub, 20min of game time and dropped. Would blow a fuse

Re: Curren In!
Met Tom just before the club went to America. Really happy for him - think he will take it and run with it.
Told me how he was a geelong supporter but ever since he got to the saints the club and supporters have made him a one eyed passionate saint

Re: Curren In!
Serious? The clip of his VFL highlights from last week isn't encouraging. I reckon 50% of his possessions in that clip are turnovers. He misses easy goals, kicks it out on the full, kicks it straight to the opposition or to a two on one. Let's hope his disposal improves when he's playing in a tougher game.savatage wrote:I already know the answer to that. Re: Curren In!
I can't believe what I'm reading. Clint jones can barely drop the ball down to his boot. Curren is a much better kick.

Re: Curren In!
Barlow wasn't supposed to be any good with the ball either and I would take him with out thinking about it now in hindsight. Hope he gets a heap of ball and demands a spot for the rest of the year.
Re: Curren In!
Can't believe he's starting as the sub!
Players hate being the sub on debut!
I personally would've given him a full game and see what he's got.
