I like to know the reasoning behind why people vote how they do?

I find it interesting, like how did Jack gets a vote or 3 this week, or why Lenny was considered best on, even though his opponent was probably Carlton's best mid?

Popularity votes generally

So hayes was the only player who played on judd? Who did armitage go head to head with? I think you'll find that both players rotated through mainly inside mid but played hf and wing and judd played forward at times through the match.

Riewoldt. Hayes and Milne are Saintsational's pets(with some justification due to length of service AA's etc)
Some days they only have to run on to the ground to get votes on here
CJ, Gilbert Gram on the other hand................

Don't know who the Hun gave votes to, and don't care much about the Age either, but the Age did give Judd 8 and Lenny 7.
Rohan Connolly probably gave Lenny 7 because he played a bloody good game.

Of course you know more about the game than anyone on Earth, so Rohan and most football supporters are probably wrong. I wonder what the coaches votes are?

Yes, Lenny played very well, as per usual....

As I said he would have broken almost even with their second best player...Judd

I do tend to measure a players performance both ways though, and he was opposed to Judd at most stoppages, and the lined up head to head for most parts.... I think most coaches were happy with that match up

Armo would have struggled with Juddy

Jack got a vote from me because he was providing heaps of run and carried the ball forward to break the lines. He suffered a corked buttock but still willed himself to a very high standard of game despite not racking huge numbers up. I though that while Lenny was probably our best mid Armo and Steven made a massive contribution.

Lenny didn't tag he simply was playing along side Judd. Two stars can both play well while playing on each other. Lenny also seems to carry the team on his back at times.

Interestingly Rooey was our second best DT score player after Armo and had heaps of ball but doesn't get a vote because he is measured on goals scored not the mid field type numbers he can amass.

Thought Steven played his quietest game of the year....

As stated, Lenny was good, as was his main opponent.

Both coaches gave our best player as Lenny and Armo. Both got one vote off one coach and 2 off the other.

Did I say the coaches got it wrong? No.... Didn't I just say Judd was there second best and Len almost broke even with him?!

Interesting to see another midfield-fest though.....

Though it wouldn't be the first time for either? Did Mick get it wrong when he called Milnet a 'F***ing Rapist'
Has SW made any errors?

The are fallible too

Thats a really low bow to draw. All votes are opinions. thats what you seem to fail to grasp and then had a go at people saying its a popularity contest. I have Lenny best because I thought he was. i gave Armo second and Jack third best because I thought they were. Im sure most others did the same. I could understand people having a go at someone if they gave a player votes when they were actually no good but I dont think any of those 3 players were no good on Saturday night.

Well you are questioning why people would give lenny votes as you gave him none.

It doesn't make any sense, Judd was second best on the ground, Lenny broke even, but you didn't give him any votes.

I do agree that Lenny gets more love than others on here but, 28 touches, 9 clearances, 5 tackles, 6 inside 50's is a good game, it shouldn't be rated against his games of the past… it's about this one game.

Personally I didn't think he was in our best 5 and gave my reasons why?

That's not to say he couldn't be in other people's? Like to know why it was seen that way?

I even said he played well in my original votes post? Just thought others beat their opponents by more and therefore won their positions. Which I count. Lenny playing the same game, Judd not as effective, Lenny BOG IMO ..... But guess what... If that happened we woul have one.

Example
Carlton going into the game would be hoping for more than 3 possessions out of Gartlett in the first half.... A match winner flogged..... Therefore I rated Geary's defensive game as better than some offensive games

I know not giving Lenny votes in sacrilege and like shooting Bambi.

But that's what I mean, it more about popularity than anything IMO. And mids....
