Re: Votes v Carlton
Not sure how the voting works, but imo;
4 CJ
3 Roberton
3 Tom Lee
Len, Jack Steven, Armo and Gears all get 1 vote...Jack Newnes just misses out.

Re: Votes v Carlton
5 Lenny- lead from the coal face. Vintage Lenny.
4 Armo- the most dream team points of any player in that game.
3 Roberton- just a natural attacking back man with a laid back attitude.
2 Dempster- Was everywhere down back and plays beyond his size.
1 Steven- not heaps of it but really great clean kicking to set up team mates and great extraction.
Roo just didn't convert but good game, Farren was great, Gwilt was really attacking, Lee good, Gears and jones excellent games and Newnes solid under lots of pressure.

Re: Votes v Carlton
5-Dempster..... Beat opponent 1 on 1 in most contests, consistent defender
4-Armitage...... Lot of contested footy, strong midfield game
3-Gwilt............ Solid game, used the ball well and competed well on key fwd, had to be continually moved to Stanley's man
2- Roberton....... Good run of HB
1-Geary............ Smashed Gartlett, was hard and courageous
Hayes, good battle with Judd.... About even
Murdoch and Lee were good
Ray ran hard, I reckon won a lot of footy
Hickey better
Poor
Stanley.... Obviously
TDL..... Although he kept Walker relatively in check
Dal...... Gee
McEvoy.... Not good
Average
Joey..... Well tagged
Steven.... Not his best game, his bar is higher now... Perhaps he had some defensive work put into him finally

Defensive work on steven being like cleaning him up at the centre square where he got his corky and generally bumping him at every opportunity.BigMart wrote:5-Dempster..... Beat opponent 1 on 1 in most contests, consistent defender

Welcome to Dal's world.... If he going to be an AGrade mid... Expect that treatment, wear it as a badge.

Re: Votes v Carlton
Perhaps we could look at two vote threads per round.
One for the highly analytical poster who can fully disect each player's game and compare them each to their opponent and to their teammates . Weightings could be added for any number of factors.
And another for posters like me who simply watch a game and bang out a 5,4,3,2 & 1 based on nothing more than gut instinct and good vibes

Re: Votes v Carlton
Please leave the votes in the one thread so that I can tally them - but by all means - have a Post Mortem thread where you can explain why - even quote your own votes.Eastern wrote:Dr Spaceman wrote:Perhaps we could look at two vote threads per round.

For those that don't know how to quote yourself in a complete other thread - Hit quote on your post, highlight the ENTIRE thing and copy it - then go to the new thread, post a reply and paste the thing you copied.
Thanking you

Re: Votes v Carlton
Note to those giving votes to Riewoldt
The blond guy in number 4 is not called Riewoldt
Or maybe you are giving votes for coin tossing or caning team-mates?
