Darren Parkin, who used to post regularly on the forum but doesn't now he works for SEN, has been randomly bashed at Cranbourne train station last night.

Thankfully he's recovering ok with 12 stitches in his head and fractured arm.

On behalf of the forum community, I wish him a speedy and good recovery.

I'm from Cranbourne and that just gives me one more reason not to travel by train, particularly at night.
Don't know Darren as I am only new on here, but I wish him a speedy recovery and hope that they catch the mongrels who did this to him!!

Being as its the middle of the night in Oz when I get up in the mornings I tune in on the SEN app and check out the All Night Appetite program which I always find fantastic and Darren is very good at his job and was always a nice bloke to boot. Shame that a low life c**k sandwich has done that to him. I hope they catch whoever did it asap

There was a grab of him on the 7.00 news on SEN. Sounded like he was coping OK but it must have been a terrifying experience for him.

Being a shift worker i listen to dasher a lot and find him to be one of the better commentators on the station. Shocked to hear it,all the best and get well soon
