How the f*** can we let the opposition take the ball through the middle from a kickout uncontested. We are a terribly coached team right now

All over red rover
We have stopped and they have midfield numbers surging.
We leave too much to too few as usual.

Re: Freo vs Saints match thread
The cracks are starting to appear, but there's something good from this.
When they created LENNY HAYES (in the shadow of Harvs) they forgot to break the mold (again)- hence the Supremely Incredible Jack Steven!!

Best Effort for the year and by a long way. Coincidence or Lenny back in the side.

Kosi's 200 is going to have to wait at least one more week.

Re: Freo vs Saints match thread
That was te low point of the game after the kids have done so wel. Don't like seeing a more experienced player just turn the back and give no respect for the person ready to kick. Not a good look atall.mad saint guy wrote:Bloody hell Gwilt has become a liability. Terrible defensively, can't kick anymore and just fell asleep on the mark, letting Walters run around him and goal. Absolutely must replace him ASAP
Midfield clearances and clear winners are needed to make an effective forward line.
You need to protect the ball handler to increase posession efficiency

Re: Freo vs Saints match thread
Saad and milera should never be in the same side ever.
We can't carry two blokes who both play the game looking for easy goals.
If you can't go into to then middle the eff off.
I mean Danyule Pearce is streets ahead of both those two players.
We need genuine mids not half assed small fwds.

Effort is there strength isn't though. Should now blow to 30- 40 points based on the durability and strength of young guns.God_Nel wrote:Missed tackles are KILLING us

Yep! Agree. Good game and one they can look at as a template.SainterK wrote:Well said, big redbigred wrote:This is an exceptional development game for us.
Regardless of the result.

Minchington is my great white hope. I reckon he'd already give us more.Playon wrote:I'm hoping that Saad hasn't shown all he's going to show and has some improvement to come. But there may be others that pass him by

I remember it happening at least a couple of times when Ross was coach when they would got it over the press and away they went.mad saint guy wrote:How the f*** can we let the opposition take the ball through the middle from a kickout uncontested. We are a terribly coached team right now

Re: Freo vs Saints match thread
Nah f*** Ross.
The challenge was there.
Travel West against a pretty good side.
A few of our best are staying home.
The pressure and the workrate. The tackling etc.
A few of the youngsters have had a crack.
Games like this can blow away any doubt of not belonging at this level of football.
Roo said it at half time. Games like this can set up your career.
Would have loved the 4 points. Ross lyon is a skidmark in the jocks of humanity.

"Now the ball is loose, it gives St. Kilda a rough chance. Black. Good handpass. Voss. Schwarze now, the defender, can run and from a long way".....

I'm done with Farren Ray. He just doesn't give enough considering his age and experience. Keep him at Sandy unless all the kids are unfit.

Umpires pulling free kicks out of their arse for Freo.

Re: Freo vs Saints match thread
Might have lost but if we can replicate that effort the future certainly isn't as bleak as some suggest!
Thats Mr. Smartarse to you
Re: Freo vs Saints match thread
He would've been one of our best except every fkn kick of his goes to the opposition.bergholt wrote:I'm done with Farren Ray. He just doesn't give enough considering his age and experience. Keep him at Sandy unless all the kids are unfit.
