I think if he wants to stay we should keep him. We should reward loyal St.Kilda people by allowing them to stay. The worth is in building a strong culture of keeping good St.Kilda people at st.kilda.....not so much in his trade value.

If i had to put a worth on him I would say pick 12-15, would be worth pick 1-4 if we include our first round pick with him. But the teams below us dont need Dal so if I was let say WestCoast, Geelong, Calton, Collingwood (window teams) I would give pick 13 or 14 for him

Big difference between Brian Lake and Nick Dal Santo.

As I said on the other post if we trade away all our experienced players we will end up with 15 kids running around week in week out and copping 15 goal hidings because of it. Form on field is one thing but the ability to mentor the young guys is where Dal, Joey, Lenny, Roo and the other veterans will provide real value over the next couple of years

Dal/Joey are worth a pick 15-18 IMO but pick 19 is thereabouts.

It's a dumb deal/transaction for us to get involved in anyway as it benefits the other clubs a whole lot more.

We're better off just dealing directly with a club in the top 4-6 who are after them rather than getting involved in a multi party deal which helps make other clubs stronger.

And David King is a real dumb arse.

the point of it all and this does make sense is that for the first time in years the #1 pick is up for trade, so what would it take.

the last time it happened it was hawthorn and freo (Hodge #1 plus another pick) for Croad and Mcpharlin

so obviously the point of this is it is going to take more than a couple of b graders to get the #1 pick
