Yep. Lenny Hayes hated going to Ballarat so much that he got there at 1/4 time in the reserves game...and stayed on after the game in the Ballarat club rooms...never seen a guy so annoyed at being in Ballarat as some would have you believe....

And after speaking to a St Kilda official, turns out that Lenny requested to play in the match...had a good chuckle to myself when he told me that...

But....never let the truth get in the way of a good whinge!!!

Did you speak to him? It helps to really know the truth. How are Sandy going? Is there relegation in the VFL?
Nasty.

It was just a question. Sandy will be safe this year.

I haven't watched any games this year but Sheapherd seemed to get some love in the mid season review. Does anyone think he is a draft prospect as a mature age FB? He never got a go at Freo as he was injured then seemed to get the chop. I'm not saying he should just asking those that have watched his season.

Wow Plugger you are become a nasty old bitch.

I did speak to Lenny Hayes when I took the photo of him in the rooms...he was totally relaxed about playing in Ballarat....but of course you know better....were you at the match?...no Port Melbourne match to go and see?

And there is no relegation...finished a long time ago...but of course you knew that.

Even when there was relegation, Sandy were one of 2 teams to never play in Div 2...but of course you knew that

And of all people to call someone else a smartarse!!!...think kettle...pot...black..

You are right of course. he wanted to play there. And i did stats at 3 port games and have seen sandy 3 times. And i wasnt at ballarat. i dont do games in other countries. I am a smart arse. So what. Doesnt make what you said anything but a smart arse comment. I just hope the saints stick with Sandy for your sake. the club nearly exploded last year. They are in a no win situation. If the saints stay Sandy people are unhappy and if they go they wont have the money to survive. And you can deny all you like but but that is true.

SFC allocated close to $900,000 in Council budget for resurfacing works

03/07/2013

Bayside City Council has confirmed it has allocated almost $900,000 in its 2013/14 final budget for resurfacing works to take place at Trevor Barker Beach Oval starting in September/October.

It was reported that the TBBO resurfacing works would be at the expense of six other local sports ground projects including parks in Cheltenham, Beaumaris, Sandringham and Hampton however all of those grounds have had funds allocated to them for works in this budget.

The Sandringham Football Club is relieved and excited that the Bayside Council has recognized the need and the urgency for the TBBO to be resurfaced due to the poor condition of the ground.

Cr Laurie Evans said fixing the surface, which has been described by other VFL teams as unfit for play, was "top priority, It has been deemed unfit to play for OH&S reasons" Evans said. "This is not a great thing for our premier club".

It will be the first time TBBO has been completely resurfaced and the project will ensure the ground is up with the best in Bayside. The existing turf will be ripped up, new drainage and sprinkler system installed, the ground levelled and new turf laid.

The project, which will come in at approximately $900,000, has been in the works for quite some time and was confirmed at a Bayside City Council meeting last night

Looks like Sandy could use a productive tall foward - obviously Lee, White and Lever aren't giving them much down there.

I like Zebraman's informed VFL posts.

Anyone with real knowledge is always a target....why is that ?

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

This. They can make it the best surfaced ground in the world, but it will still be a postage stamp if they don't make it BIGGER.

really. I thought this post mentions me but who would know. You are to gutless to quote.

What i will say about lenny is if is heart was really in the game does anyone here think he would only get 5 possessions in 50 minutes of footy even if the whole other side played on him. curran probably got 18 in the same period.
