I saw a documentary on youtube maybe a year or so ago called Heathen. I found it quite amusing and was wondering whether someone could put it back or provide me with a link or another way of grabbing the video. I know the supporters in it are quite feral but it's still a laugh. (for me anyway)

Yeah I've tried searching google, youtube etc, I find some information about the girl (Megan Spencer) who created it but not much more. Lol at not supposed to be funny.

HeathenS. There was more than one.

I had a copy on VHS. It was sold with a documentary about elderly female Essendon fans called 'Game Girls'.

Go for it..the same sort of doco could have been done for any club or for any sports fan around the world for that matter.

At least here, we don't have crowd segregation and lines of armed riot police.

I'm not being critical but I think Macadam should have never taken it down in the first place.

Use a program called atube grabber
Its free and u cut n paste the u tube link into it and choose what file format u want ticovert it t from memory.

I haven't used it for ages but guess its still around

It's no secret, Megan didn't exactly create a reliable becnhmark for movie buffs with her reviews. Heathens is the only one I've seen from the Spencer "oeuvre" and no auteur's name like a Werner Herzog springs to mind after seeing it. More or less, the production is of home video standard. However, as Stevie mentioned, it at least documents a portion of a certain time and place (1991 season and Moorabbin) some of us are fond of. Not to mention it has a "s***s and giggles" appeal to it.

I have often wondered the same thing since he hasn't been heard. It would be great if he made a comeback. These days we have some old duck in the CS trying to emulate his war cry. GET RID OF HER and BRING HIM BACK.
