Disappointing SAINTS FANS !!
Quite a number of saints fans were seen leaving the ground as early as 1/2 way through the last quarter. Okay, it wasn't much of a game BUT we were winning, it was a milestone game for THREE of our players and it was the end of a BIG week for the club.
It was great to see all THREE being chaired off the ground. It was also pretty damn good to see Scotty singing the song with the boys. Was it Jacky who was our stand in Chorus Leader tonight? !!

NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!

Agree Eastern, I wondered too who filled in for Milney during the song, on a positive it was great to see Rory from our marketing department down with the cheer squad first quarter, trying to rev them up with flag flying and chanting , well done Rory.

28K is a good turnout.noob wrote:At least they went to the game. s*** crowd considering the conditions
But the crowd appeared 50/50, so only about 15K Saints fans for a "home" game.
i am Melbourne Skies - sometimes Blue Skies, Grey Skies, even Partly Cloudy Skies.

Re: Disappointing SAINTS FANS !!
Pretty sad effort all round they claimed 28000 or so but looked about 12000. Dal and Rooey deserved more. We were sitting a fairway from where they carried them off but only a handful of kids were lining the race out
Re: Disappointing SAINTS FANS !!
My mate and I guessed there was about 30k there. It was a shade under 29 and considering the weather and where both clubs are at, I actually thought it was a reasonable turnout.

Couldn't believe the numbers in the MCC members. Suppose there is not much snow yet

If the police hadn't charged Milne this week,
Even the CEO wouldn't have been there to join us in celebrating our three milestones.
Pathetic nettlefold , seriously pathetic .

I left at three-quarter time. s*** game, very cold and I had a function to go to at 7pm. Twilight games make it hard to do much else with your evening.

Did we have a cheer squad? From where we were sitting did not look like it - lots of empty seats and not much noise from them at all. And disgraceful to hear the boos from the melbourne supporters the first time rooey touched the ball. I would say that melbourne supporters heavily outnumbered saints supporters last night

Really think you should get your facts straight. Was at the presidents function and nettlefold spoke very well about milney. Stated that as far as the club is concerned he is innocent until proven guilty.
Then had lovely interviews with riewoldt and nicky dals mothers. Followed up by jason blake speaking about the boys milestones. Pretty sure that the president always turns up to the presidents function and this one has been organised for months.

Re: Disappointing SAINTS FANS !!
I wonder how many Saints fans ended up in my position? I left home at 3:30 for the 30 minute drive to the MCG.
I arrived at the MCG at 4pm and wished to use the first Punt Road entrance to the car park after Swan Street, The signs on the gate said car park full - use other entrances.
So I spent the next 40 minutes in a snail crawl around the MCG trying to fins an entrance into the MCG car park until just before the game started when Garry Lyon, late for his commentating gig on MMM advised that the car park was full.
I then proceeded to drive home.
That's 4 less who attended from my car alone.

Re: Disappointing SAINTS FANS !!
We parked in the car park opposite AAMI Park and crossed the bridge.
It is a great spot to park.

Same thing here, that's another 4 who didn't make it, when I turned around Punt rd was banked back to Toorak rd
That was 10 minutes before the bounce
I'd say thousands were in our position as most of the cars had st.kilda stickers/colours
Cannot believe the carpark was full or were sections of it shut

It was glorious weather yesterday. Disappointing yes, but did anyone (who didn't go home at 3/4 time) see Dees players being clapped off the ground by their supporters for getting within 6 goals of a bottom 5 team? Now THAT would be disappointing to get to that stage...

Weather - yes, it was cold after sunset, but it wasn't windy or raining. Was envious of the Melbourne members who
had their picnic rugs wrapped around themselves. Several sections of carpark closest to ground were shut -
walked through one - grass on mud, which would have churned up very quickly.
