and Saints supporters will be out to honour Nick and Nick, AKA The Two Nix, not related to Stevie Nix.

The MW is generally Q14-15 upper deck wing of the Southern Stand, although much better free seating can be found on level one next to the MCC members in the new stand.

NO idea what the crowd numbers will be but we have two modern greats of our club hitting 250 games this week, one of them is one of the all time greats to pull on our jumper. Whilst this core group may not have had in them the extra two goals they needed to snare a flag, they have given all they have to the cause and have earned the tribute of ALL OF US turning up this week to acknowledge their milestone.

This group may not have achieved the ultimate glory but they have changed our club forever - they have raised our expectations. As a club we no longer find joy in winning one quarter, or admiring the efforts of a singular player. We now expect to be planning and working towards our next flag tilt. Prior to this era we were simply happy not to be walloped. There is no going back from this position as it is a collective mindset. The outside world may not have changed it's opinion of us, but WE have changed how we see ourselves. And that is entirely the result of this era.

To paint the contrast, the fact that we are not on the bottom of the ladder used to be cause for celebration. Now, the fact that we are not in the finals is cause for angst and demands that actions be taken immediately to correct the situation. Key amongst those we need to thank for this 180 degree change in the mentality of our club is Roo.

Normally, I'd go for 23,000. But Roo and Dal's 250ths should drag more if we are fair dinkum. Anything less than 25,000 would not be a crowd befitting tow giants of the Saints. No overlooking the greatly under-the-radar Sean Dempster's 150th. I'll go for 25,997 based on the missus, the nipper and me not being there. Bloody working this weekend!
