The fact is, if by someone miracle he actually says he wants to play for the Saints at the end of the year, he is still contracted and in order to get him across, it would take a fair bit in a trade with Melbourne (More than he would be worth). Unfortunately no, Ray + a 2nd rounder won't cut it.

Aaron Hammil was 23 at the start of 2001 when he came to us, and it worked well.

Because a 24 y.o can play for 7 to 8 years especially in the backline. Dustin Fletcher has played 14 seasons past his 24th year.
