If we lose to Melbourne....
What happens?
Although they are referred to by all as a complete basket case, they pushed us twice last year, so not inconceivable that we are rolled in a fortnight...
Will Watters be under any genuine pressure? Is he contracted beyond this year?

Re: If we lose to Melbourne....
i think we can afford to beat Melbourne
games like last night are what we want. competitive. young side. playing against a better team. could have won it. didn't bank the 4 points.
scoreboard results, to us at the moment, are about as meaningful as progressing in the NAB Cup.

If we play like last night we will win. May get some handy players back too.

Fisher hopefully. Schneider maybe. Someone will get an extended 2 week rest with the bye. Maybe a few will. Won't be a bad thing. Time to give Murdoch another go and surely Ledger must be due. Reckon Webster may need a bit of a rest.saintbrat wrote:Hayes8856brother wrote:If we play like last night we will win. May get some handy players back too.

Re: If we lose to Melbourne....
Melbourne beat the Bombers last year and they seem to have recovered. Eventually they will beat someone and if it happens to be us then I expect some supporters will adopt the victim and loser mentality and default to cries of it must be the coaches fault. I actually think Melbourne are close to turning the corner and sacking their coach will set them back a couple of more years. I listened to Trengove on SEN today and he was very strong in his support for what Neeld is doing at the club and genuinely got the feeling it wasn't lip service. Trengrove said that Neeld come in with a firm plan and is sticking to it and that it is just a matter of the players continuing to train the plan and getting enough enough games under their belt. IMO it makes sense and if we were to sack Watters in under 3 years then our club will become Melbourne. If the club sticks to the current plan I think it will turn within that time.

Seb will need the break- he went missing in the second half yesterday. It's pretty hard on the young guys. Saunders is going to be good and needs games too.

Re: If we lose to Melbourne....
What's the chance they sack Neeld this week, and their players play out of their skins against us under their new coach and win?
It would be just our luck.

Re: If we lose to Melbourne....
Ill guarantee melbourne will put in a special effort against us the weak pricks.
I would not be surprised at all if we lose.
they always seem to think they have a chance against us and they never try against the bigger clubs.

There will be an opportunity for plenty of guys to put their hand up whilst playing for Sandy next Sunday. What Number should Lenny wear? !!
NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!

Melbourne can bring their A game, but we will win. Our players and leaders won't let anything slip.

Close enough. He ran a couple of laps Wednesday morning at snails pace with a bandage on the famous hamstring and a compression bandage around the opposite calf. He was pretty pissed off when I chatted to him.saintspremiers wrote:Is he finished for the season?tony74 wrote:Adam definitely wont be ready

Re: If we lose to Melbourne....
I suppose the question has to be asked. Will the club keep him on the list based on where we are at with our development?tony74 wrote:Close enough. Re: If we lose to Melbourne....
Scenario: Keep him to develop the youth, then Harvey returns (again) with more experience and becomes a hero of the club all over. Lenny assistant.
