He is good.

If we used pick 3 on Frawley I would go absolutely ballistic.noob wrote:Need to look at something more realistic. I'd be furious if they gave up a top pick for him.
I agree that our first pick should be on a young gun. I am totally against trading McEvoy to anywhere as we are short of ruckmen anyway. He is rated the second best ruckman in the league according to some people who know more than a lot of us.Con Gorozidis wrote:If we used pick 3 on Frawley I would go absolutely ballistic.noob wrote:Need to look at something more realistic. We need that pick for a young gun midfielder.
The reason our defence looks bad atm is because we get so murdered in the middle the ball is going down inside the opposition 50 a million times a qtr.
Midfield should be priority 1, 2 and 3.
But lets say we throw pick 21 at Frawley. Pick 3 at a young gun mid.
That Frees up Rhys maybe which leaves us with a spare ruckman to trade?
Would we trade Macca to GWS for a first rounder (to use on another young gun mid or a direct swap with a GWS gun mid)?
under that scenario we end up with 2 gun midfielders under 21 + frawley.
we then use Hickey/Rhys ruck combo (Rhys can float fwd) and with Lewis Pierce as the young ruckman in training.
I love Big Ben, but would trade him for the right deal.busso mick wrote:

2nd in the league? a bit rich.
Great player, not a great ruckman. But rucking is overrated, mids more important.busso mick wrote:http://www.afl.com.au/afl/stats/player- ... ition/ruckRosco wrote:I love Big Ben, but would trade him for the right deal.busso mick wrote:

Take those rankings however you like, but good ruckmen are in short supply.

If something is on the table, these days noone is untouchable

Would expect Melbourne will let him go for something rather than nothing.
Don't know that he would qualify for FA at end of next year anyway?CURLY wrote:Demons may have little choice to trade in fear of losing him for nothing at the end of next season.

Wouldn't that affect his payments a great deal? You get paid less for VFL games, right?
So he would go where he has a good chance of being in the best 22, and because of our muppets, he would get a game all the time.
At Carlton or Essendon it would be much harder to get selected.
He's an All Australian full back. Did you realize this fact?WellardSaint wrote:If Frawley went to a club that was not near the bottom, he may not earn many senior games.

Sam Gilbert.... Any young player from GC/GWS
Tom Ledger..... Pick a fringe kid at Freo or late pick 55-70
