What Ive noticed is that Macca really drops off in last quarters. I think he works so hard getting around the ground, dropping back in defense that he is just running out of petrol and his ruck work really deteriorates. You imagine being such a big unit and trying to jump and tap when you are exhausted . And Hickey is not yet developed to be giving him the full breaks he really needs. As macca gets older he should be able to keep it going for 4 quarters and do better ruck work

i agree that a good midfield can over come a poor ruckman but gee a good ruckman makes life easy for them. Can't we get both?

well yes. thatd be nice. but we have already spent 2 x first round picks on ruckman in the last 7 years.
we also have lewis pierce as a long term speculative pick.
we also have rhys stanley.

i dont want to risk another high pick on a ruckman atm.

surely one of those 4 guys we already have will end up ok.....i hope...

Did anyone see the ladder on FC last night on goals kicked by midfielders?

No surprise that it was almost the same as the actual ladder.

The Swans have 61 goals from midfielders this year - most good teams have around 40-50.

We have around 20.

p.s wait until the Swans get Tippet back...
