Agreed, should have played saunders. If ray is to play he can tag, why have both. Neither gives us much. Better quarter. Sub needs to be activated though. Maister has done less than nothing for the second week in a row. He is a waste of a spot right now

Re: Match day thread saints v dogs
Last 15 minutes there was nothing going forward, all dogs. Good work though we didn't give up any goals.
Gehrig emerged from scans yesterday saying he was "as sweet as a bun"
Re: Match day thread saints v dogs
terrible first half. Got killed in the clearances, AGAIN. Slow to use it, no run to receive. Lazy football by some journeyman.
Milne looks shot, saad one trick pony. Forward line needs sippa to lift and maister to return to his form before his injury. Otherwise we will need to look at white earlier then needed. Crying out for a inside mid (missing armo) Either give one of the young bulls a go or a inside specialist in curren a go. All cj does is give away frees. Not sure what ray gives us.
Backline looks short but trying their guts out. Hickey is close to useless. Is this the same team that gave it right up to the blues two weeks ago?
Miss wrights run.

Re: Match day thread saints v dogs
Very ordinary so far. Our midfield has been crap and Gwilt is being badly exposed for his lack of defensive skills. Beau isn't up to it, Jones shouldn't be on the list and our rucks have given us nothing

Re: Match day thread saints v dogs
This first half against this opposition shows us where we really are in terms of a rebuild. Not sure why CJ is still getting a run ahead of some of the kids. Maister was bought back to early looks like he is not 100% yet.
Hopefully we get a better second half as we really need to put the dogs away

Re: Match day thread saints v dogs
are you watching the game?? Sippa has had 10 disposals and kicked 2 goals from the half forward line, what more does he need to do? Saad has contributed more this week than he has all year.Solar wrote:terrible first half. Got killed in the clearances, AGAIN. Slow to use it, no run to receive. Lazy football by some journeyman.

What is the score?
I'm in Sydney with no access to Foxtel.
The AFL's TV Rights deal means that there is absolutely no coverage of this game (or any other) in Sydney this afternoon.

you have to worry about supporters who continually pot players, on perceptions that are factually INCORRECT in relation to realitymad saint guy wrote:The fact that Jones is back in the team really shakes my faith in Watters. Re: Match day thread saints v dogs
This has been a horribly over umpired game. On track for 60 free kicks at this rate. Going both ways though. Jones got some shockers against Griffen simply because they looked rough. Ridiculous to penalise Riewoldt with Picken hanging off him
