Cam Shenton v Sam Dunell
Given our fwd line seems to be divided into talls and smalls and the sometimes Sippa as a medium (rarely)
Is it time we tried a full time medium in there?
Can some Sandy watchers comment on whether they think Cam Shenton is up to AFL standards?
Hes 22 - and sure these days we know some guys debut much older than that - but its almost now or never youd reckon?

Would love to see both down there along with Siposs.
Get rid of Milne, Milera and Saad for the time being. It's got old, fast.

Re: Cam Shenton v Tom Lee
I love the Shentonator- we need dudes with facial hair and no one in the AFL rocks a Lincoln beard better than Shents. If Malcheski didn't go all Ned Kelly with his facial hair Sydney couldn't have won the Premiership and that abomination on Mc Veigh nearly caused them to falter. If your facial hair looks like your toupe has slid down over your mouth don't wear it.
Lee should look at the beard as an option too he kind of has a face like a balding cocky- a big look in WAFL- Maister has it too. Lee would be a coleman medalist if he got some face cover going.

Tom lee certainly isn't up to scratch just yet,
I haven't seen a heap of shenton, but like his pace, and his work below his knees is really good...
could rotate into the midfield a bit

Re: Cam Shenton v Tom Lee
Dont think either are AFL standard at the moment. Shenton improving and Tommy showing bugger all.

Shenton reminds a little of Daniel wulf.
Ability wise not looks! Medium size forward, athleticly freakish without being a natural footballer!

Again -no facial hair- that kick on goal would have landed in the top of the stand and cut a straight line between the big sticks if he had at least a bit of bum fluff to get him something to line his head up with. The wulfman doesn't work without a fuzzy head either.
Wool Schwartze would have demanded respect if he'd grown a biker beard bigger than Willy Masons fro to match his awesome hair.
Re: Cam Shenton v Tom Lee
Wasn't Tom Lee rated as the best tall forward at Sandy last week.
What I like about the three mediums
Shenton, Dunnell, Siposs
They are all flexible and play tall/small.... All have kicked multiple goals
Dunnell is smart and consistent 189cm
Siposs is silky skilled 189cm
Shenton is very quick and strong for his size 188cm
Personally all three could fit in as utility types..... HF/HB/Wing

Re: Cam Shenton v Tom Lee
Shenton is probably better off half back judging by his best footy at Sandy. He was recruited more to play as a forward though. I would try someone like Shents back and move Fisher forward. We need instant fire power now.

Re: Cam Shenton v Sam Dunell
I think the question of this thread really should be Cam Shenton v Sam Dunell
(Lee is really a future FF hopefully which is what we recruited him as)
But Shenton and Dunell are the same height and same age and similar 'utility' types. One is on the main list, one is on the Rookie list - who is better????

I have no idea why Fisher would be played forward. he is our best backman even if he is struggling a bit. Shenton isnt going to replace Fisher. he isnt even on the list yet.

Reminds you of Daniel Wulf? Reminds me more of a werewolf! Like a werewolf, he only comes out to play when a full moon is in the sky.kos wrote:Shenton reminds a little of Daniel wulf.

Interesting thoughts gringo. Worth it's own thread IMO.gringo wrote:kos wrote:Shenton reminds a little of Daniel wulf.

A few of the footy commentators were demanding the Demon players with beards shave them off immediately because they suggested the beards were having a negative effect on their performance. What's your opinion on that? And do you own a manly beard yourself?

no my own facial hair looks like a russian female weight lifter post olympics. I could have been a contender if my face had only allowed it. With out facial hair the Dees would be barely able to walk down the race- they should demand them all to grow one. Jordan Mc mahon was always close but his inability to grow a proper beard made him second guess himself and sent his career down the toilet.
