Great news
Gr8 news for @sandyzebs: Bayside Council has allocated almost $900,000 in its 2013/14 draft budget for resurfacing of Trevor Barker Oval
http://www.sandringhamfc.com.au/news.aspx?id=126
Bayside City Council has confirmed it has allocated almost $900,000 in its 2013/14 draft budget for resurfacing works to take place at Trevor Barker Beach Oval starting in September/October.

The Sandringham Football Club is relieved and excited that the Bayside Council has recognized the need and the urgency for the TBBO to be resurfaced due to the poor condition of the ground.

It will be the first time TBBO has been completely resurfaced and the project will ensure the ground is up with the best in Bayside. The existing turf will be ripped up, new drainage and sprinkler system installed, the ground levelled and new turf laid.

The surface is a joke. But what a waste of money.

We should play our own reserves team at Moorabin which already has a top class surface, in which case I couldn't give a stuff about Sandy and then the money could go to grassroots footy instead.

And how could they play at Moorabbin? No toilets, no change rooms, no canteen. no nothing apart from a great ground.

Well get your board to go and do it...of course the surface has been a joke...and try and remember that St Kilda listed players are actually playing on it....so if you consider that to be a waste of money then you are more than entitled to that opinion...no matter how stupid it appears.....in case you didn't grasp what the council has decided...they're going to resurface it...then it won't be a joke...get it??????

Cheltenham's bleating on Facebook and Twitter is laughable...saying Sandy "stole" the money...suggest they go and check the council records and they might find that the decision was UNANIMOUS...

Sat 18th may
SANDRINGHAM d BENDIGO: Sandringham overcame a determined Bendigo outfit to the tune of 76 points at Queen Elizabeth Oval today. After kicking three goals in the first four minutes of the match, a dull day looked forecast for the Gold, but despite some great runs by the visitors, the Gold continued to add to the scoreboard all afternoon with Alex Pollock kicking four goals, and Alik Magin with two goals amongst their best. Sandringham however dominated in the middle, and the likes of Brodie Murdoch, Tom Curren (31 disposals, 9 marks), Chris Michaliades (21) and Trent Dennis Lane (4 goals) were amongst their best. Myke Cook and Clint Jones led the disposals with 35 and 34 respectively.

I don't think they are blaming Sandy, more like blaming the Bayside council and that's fair enough.

Sandy are just the club stuck in the middle of it all. I think Sandy and Chelt get along very well due to the obvious connections between the two clubs.

Do you really think that will encourage Saints supporters to attend?

Wow just 9 weeks into the season (which started a week after AFL began)
And it's our second home game already coming up this weekend.
Gee we are spoilt.
