All jokes aside
BUT
how does the AFL's Father/Son rule cope with a child fathered by AI?

Would it matter? Did the Abletts live with their father?

My daughter has a very close friend who has two mummies. Her biological father is heavily involved in her childhood and upbringing.

The AFL would open a hornets nest if it tried to impose some type of morality clause on its already unfair and tainted father son rule.

Lance or James??

There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

I'd like to have seen the full 2025 side,
Scott nominated Lenny as coach, Roo as US recruiter and Ace Peckett in the centre

No you've misunderstood my question,. or I didn't post it clearly enough.

In the most far-fetched example I can dream up
A child is created using IVF and a donor sperm sample.
The donor sperm sample is a current/past AFL player.
The couple who give birth to the child also include an AFL player past/present.

The child grows up to be a football talent.
The 2 fathers (sperm donor and child raiser) both want the boy to play for 'their' club.
What happens?
Who takes precedence? The sperm donor or the husband of the mother?

interesting question magic

my guess based on the family law would be if the kid has a legal father who is not the sperm donor - then he would be the father for father and son purposes. if the kid had no legal father and two legal mums - then it would be clearly the sperm donor.

but i think for both and legal and practical purposes they would just let it be the kids choice for sure.
