Milney in Long Sleeves
All i could think of when watching Stevie Milne on Monday was how much he looked like the UK Dennis the Menace.... uncanny resemblance, in appearance and demeanour.

Re: Milney in Long Sleeves
I played a lot of club footy wearing long sleeves (with the sleeves pulled up to the elbow), cause i'd watched Harves run around during the 90's play some of his best footy like that. Would be no surprise that any current players who run around in sleeves do so cause their heros did it in days gone by....saintspremiers wrote:Didn't his hero Platten often play in long sleeves?saintbrat wrote:Noted someone asked saints locker about buying a long sleeve, they replied only small number made abd their still trying to peel it off Milney

The long sleeve looks great. Wore long sleeves myself when I played in warrnambool - good for wiping an ever dripping nose!

Check out Charlie Dixon from the Suns. Has the 1850's comb-over going with the bushranger beard.stevie wrote:If Kade Simpson was taller, more solid and had a ticker, he could play Ned Kelly with that beard

When did Bucks get to model the Saints jumper?

Re: Milney in Long Sleeves
I loved that jumper and would seriously considering purchasing it if I could buy the long sleeved version in a slightly larger size. Mind you they probably cut up a couple of short sleeved jumpers, and inserted the sleeves that way.
It almost looked like a rugby jumper, but I reckon the boys looked taller in it.
Is it being considered as a serious contender for the new away strip? I hope so.

It's too dark, I thought away jumpers had to be light. And they would never let us wear it against the Dons.

Come on Spaceman, at least we are no longer subject to this monstrosity.

Re: Milney in Long Sleeves
I reckon with red shorts it could be argued as "predominantly red" and worn as a clash strip. Or a third strip. Could work well against (eg) North.
I'd like to see it more.
I'm not familiar with dennis the menace so I was busy playing a different game during the night:

Re: Milney in Long Sleeves
Milney definitely resembled Dennis the Menace more than Freddy Krueger or Wally. To come to think of it, he kinda is the Dennis the Menace of footy.

Re: Milney in Long Sleeves
It makes no sense to me. They try and gouge supporters by hoping we'll buy all of the different clash strips, away strips, home strips, training strips yet they won't make a long sleeve jumper which it sounds like there is quite a bit of demand for?saintbrat wrote:Noted someone asked saints locker about buying a long sleeve, they replied only small number made abd their still trying to peel it off Milney
I will only buy a jumper if it's long sleeve. I've still got the long sleeve heritage jumper from around 2005-06 and I love it. I'd happily buy another long sleeve jumper if it was available.
