Re: Saints v Blues Match Thread
I knew we'd win this. Big Ben has been a total machine tonight! Milne has been magic! And Rooey finally getting some decent passes, he's been brilliant also!
Turning point? Or just an off-colored Blues side? Either way, I'm stoked with the performance from the new blokes! Jack Steven has been superb!

SEN interviewed Mick before the game. He actually rated us. Said dont let the 1-5 deceive you , it doesnt tell the real story. His has his own ladder which he didnt elaboratebigred wrote:I love beating Carlton... Don't care how injured they are.
Throw mick malthouse into the mix and I'm going to Disneyland.

im liking our balance without a negating player in jones.
This was my father's belief
And this is also mine:

And the grapes be all one vine,
Ere our children's teeth are set on edge
By bitter bread and wine.

Agreed, Jones and Lenny would have added to the agony .... Or should I say bliss! I'm having a great Monday night
Although, negating? Jones isn't that.

Re: Saints v Blues Match Thread
Milne is slowing down and what he could once do easily isn't happening. He's always done the mercurial- it makes him the unpredictable player he is. It looks stupid when it doesn't come off though. The umps called him but it looked like he'd handpassed. That was very quick on the whistle considering Selwood can get wrapped up for about 30 seconds.

Pissweak and the sort of thing that leads to momentum changes in games. Hopefully we will steady and win but he deserves a kick in the arseplugger66 wrote:Uncle Barrels wrote:He was laughing. The commentators were laughing. I was not laughing.plugger66 wrote:Pathetic by Milne.

Milnes positives far out weigh his negatives, some people on here need a reality check, ever thought he may struggle from outside 50 now?

Re: Saints v Blues Match Thread
Gears has been as good, if not better than Jones in the run-with role, and is a much better user of the ball. Wright had been superb til Betts Giansiracusa'd him. Ross shows real poise. Steven superb, McEvoy too. Hickey lovely in the ruck. Webster looks confident. Siposs becoming a real presence up forward. The only downers have been Newnes, who has made some mistakes despite working hard, and Saad and Milera, who need to put in more.
The future is getting brighter.

We're playing ok, but gee we turn it over a lot under no pressure. We are being flattered by the fact that 2 Carlton players are off the ground and around 3 others are playing hurt.
We're improving, but we've got a long way to go.
