Re: Lyon 'acted bizarre'
Funny how people think winning 19 in a row somehow qualifies for greatness
Funny how you tend to listen to Robert Walls and all the other experts like Paul Roos and all the unbiased commentators out there who really care about the St Kilda footy club

Sorry didnt hear either of those today. But if I had i would rate their opinion over a guy who works in hindsight. I do rate your opinions when I want a laugh like I get when I see the Marx brothers on TV. By the way i have never heard or read anything about a coach being great because a team won 19 in a row.

Re: Lyon 'acted bizarre'
Of course Sainters fans should listen to biased experts who are just pushing their own barrow. Of course Sainters fans who weren't posting on Saintsational back in 2009/2010 have no idea. Of course Lyon knew what he was doing in 2009/2010 and he should take the credit (as one poster put it; "the credit for fecking us deluxe!!!).
What sh1ts me about fans of our club who were in the "in Ross we trust brigade" is that they harp on about what a great coach he was and it's just bad luck that we didn't win one. I am convinced that you are either stupid or you don't give a sh1t about this club. I reckon when you have 15 or 16 wins in a row you have an obligation as head coach not to stuff it up. You have an obligation not to take anything for granted for a club who has only won 1 premiership in it's lifetime.
I've never liked the bloke and will never give him the credit for what this great team achieved in 09/10. I will never forgive him for f****** up the best chance we had to win a flag in 40 plus years of watching footy
Fans of other teams are having a chuckle at how close we got - you hear them saying; "yeah the club stuffed it up", "the players stuffed it up" and yet in the same sentences they'll be saying; "gee Lyon is a good coach". How the f*** does that make any sense when the bloke has nothing to hang his hat on. He is NOT a premiership coach!!!

Re: Lyon 'acted bizarre'
Great win tonight but I heard a couple of very interesting stories tonight from a reliable source about our ex coach RL.
Firstly, I heard that he is not that popular down at Freo with some of the players. I think the word hated was used.
Secondly, he is also a bit of an paranoid old bugger and likes to know if the players have had contact with the ex coach. He's actually very funny about it.
I usually take these comments with a grain of salt as they say and while it's not a big problem, it's not all roses down there either.
I'm tired and of over used the cliches but you all get the picture.

Many players from many clubs don't like their coach,SaintPav wrote:Great win tonight but I heard a couple of very interesting stories tonight from a reliable source about our ex coach RL.

probably but I'm only repeating what I have heard which came indirectly from one of the players.Greg T wrote:Many players from many clubs don't like their coach,SaintPav wrote:Great win tonight but I heard a couple of very interesting stories tonight from a reliable source about our ex coach RL.
