i dont think anyone even the MRP fully understand how the MRP works ... but i based my assesment of 3 weeks on the fact it was a head hit it was a deliberate hit and Kosi has a preety poor record ... but hey im only an armchair criticsaintspremiers wrote:st Trav why should've it been classed as high impact ?
That's the only way he would've got 3 weeks.
Please explain, or don't you understand how the MRP works ?

Re: MRP
If he just "belted" him in the shoulder/side would he have got weeks? No. Intentional or not. I don't think he tried to whack him in the head. Just my opinion.Life Long Saint wrote:But his intention was to belt him, though?CURLY wrote:Life Long Saint wrote: Not relevant.
The conduct is intentional.
The contact was high.
The impact is medium.
Those three facts are not in dispute.
He doesn't get off just because his aim is lousy.
It's unfortunate for the big fella but it was a stupid act and now he pays the price.
Just like Milne's act last week was stupid.
No one is saying he didnt deserve weeks. What I am saying is his sole intention wasnt to belt him in the head.

It was classed as Intentional. Which means deliberate. So you are wrong.CURLY wrote:Clearly the MRP agrees with me in regards to Kosi. Never was it a deliberate strike to the head.

Re: MRP
Or the MRP are wrong. In a court of law the case would be thrown out. He intentionally tried to hit him, but not in the head. Would be easily proven with the hight differences and the fact he got his shoulder first. The fact Kosi is a bit awkward wouldn't even need to be brought up.saintspremiers wrote:It was classed as Intentional. Which means deliberate. You are guessing that. The MRP panel said it was deliberate and he hit the head so it sounds pretty much a deliberate hit to the head.

Re: MRP
Turn it up Plugger. There is only one group doing the guessing. MRP also said Judd's hit on Pav didn't have sufficient force. Are you seriously saying because the MRP said so, it must be true. There are 100's of examples. What were you on while you were away. I thought you were better than that.plugger66 wrote:CURLY wrote:People get confused. Yes Kosi was alway going to get weeks. No I reckon more on here have said it was deliberate too and they are Saints supporters. Pretty sure most neutrals would say it was the correct call.

Who said they got it wrong? If the MRP thought Kosi deliberately hit him in the head he'd have gotten more than two.

No I think you could get life. i would be interested how Kosi could possibly get more weeks if the tribunal knew the hit to the head was deliberate. I reckon you might have trouble explaining it to me.

Re: MRP
I spoke to a Tigers fan today who was complaining that Luke darcy especially and a few other free to air commentators make judgement like they are the tribunal. I thought like this guy it was a crude attempt at holding him up in a poorly timed shepherd. It connected and wasn't pretty but I think they got it about right at the MRP. nice change. the ones that s*** me are the ones like the tackles that are sometimes ok sometimes not. I want consistency like with the umpires. Not completely out of step with other rulings.
