I'm also going as part of the player sponsor program.
Apparently the door price is $300 so you would hope the steak is tender!

Should be a good night.
Though there is no way it would match the emotion of the Hall of Fame night 3 years ago when Plugger "returned".
It will be good to give Harvey the formal credit he so richly deserves.

I was in the same boat...no way I was going as it was so expensive. But I have a family member on the board and they offered me a ticket as they know I rarely get to go to things like this. So very excited and can't wait! :) Harvs was my favourite player growing up so looking forward to seeing that part of the night

What a FANTASTIC night.

Congratulations to the club.
The TB tribute was very moving - will always wonder if TB would have been the man to lead us to a string of successes.
Rossy spoke well as expected.
Great to see Harvey still has red white and black blood.

But not surprisingly Coco stole the night with a hilarious speech - the man is a living treasure!

Was a great night. The way the room was set up looked fantastic, everyone spoke really well and as a relatively young supporter at 25 I found it so interesting to watch old footage and hear about players that I never saw play. Bought my strength through loyalty book and got it signed by harves and Lenny so very happy with that :) all the players were very approachable and friendly from what I saw. Had a decent chat with Siposs about growing up supporting the saints. He said his favourite player was Jason cripps when he was younger. And I saw Stewie Loewe sign some guys calf haha

fantastic night. Reminded me that supporting the saints was not all bad in the late seventies and eighties. No matter how many games we lost we still got to watch the great man trevor barker play.

Really enjoyed the night, and thanks to Mr Magic and SS for the opportunity to go through the sponsorship.

I too, really enjoyed the footage and interviews with the players before my generation. Sandy Roberts hosted, Greg Westaway opened the night, and Nettles introduced the life members.

Lenny, Roo, Blake and Dal introduced the hall of famers. Roberts really told a good yarn EM, he could of chat for a lot longer I'm sure.

Was very happy to sit next Jason Blake, what a lovely guy....so easy to chat to, happy to answer questions the table put to him. Other than that I was a bit star struck, Dempster and Gwilt were sitting on the table next to us, wish I had the courage to say hi...oh well, just a nice enjoyable evening.

Nice to meet Bernard Shakey and put a face to a name, happily our discussion never went in the #23 direction ;)

Didn't see you saint6, glad you had a good night.

SainterK - you were at my table!!! I am easy to spot - the tall guy asking Neil a million questions. And you were? I had a great night besides being jetlagged from flying in from the USA on Saturday morning so you probably noticed me dozing LOL. Got my book signed by Ditterich, Ross Smith, Allan Morrow, Cowboy, Neil Roberts and Lenny (our next Hall of famer) and the author.

There you go...

Small world and all that. :)

I had a nice chat to your dad, how lovely he got that book for you...

I was the opposite side to you, next to Jason. He was very free to answer the questions I thought, good for him. Wouldn't of known if he was nervous to give a speech, hid them pretty well if that was the case.

with such a huge crowd was difficult to see anyone - was looking out for you when I saw that you had been drawn for the saintsational sponsorship. Glad you had a good night - Jason Blake is one of my all time favourite players - has put in so much for the club over the years. We had terry milera and lewis pierce on our table. Lewis seems a lovely young boy although he was concerned about being out so late when he was playing for sandy today.

SainterK well what a delight to meet you. My footy wife and I have had many conversations with Jason over the years and she has a not so secret crush on him ... Such a nice guy. Did you also chat to my foot wife's father? Did you talk to any of the other players at all? Wish I knew it was you ... would have introduced you to our sponsored players past and present

Is there a reason you haven't mentioned what sort of bloke Terry was?

Super shy actually, I didn't have the courage to speak to any of them, other than Blakey ;) Nice to put another face to a posting name. If I'm ever lucky enough to win tickets to another event, I'll take you up on that :)

There was a lot of people saint6, it was a late night for the sandy bunch. Did terry talk much? He seems quiet, I hope he sticks with the saints. Did you chat to Farren? How is his morale holding up?

How distinguished did lewis Look in his glasses :)

the guys playing today tried to get out early but were under instruction to stay till a certain time- or point-- most went after barks inducted.

better than one of the previous Hall of fames- were the team were 'sent/ taken home before the guests of the evening had been mentioned and missed an amazing speach- it may have been Jeansy or Doc..

so great that the instruction was given to stay

But also great that they are professinal enough to wish to go home and stick to routine.
