Sounds like Richmond have had a lot of tripods then. That's Deledio, Nahas and Fiora at least.

I actually remember Terry Wallace saying that he took Tambling over Buddy because he had heard there were knocks on his commitment and wondered wether he really wanted to play AFL. Was too laconic apparently. Decided he got it wrong after watching his first game.

wonder what his excuse was for choosing tripod over roughhead.....

Anyways, Tambling was considered the second best in the draft for a long while. Even Hawthorn passed on Buddy originally.

The former Western Jet, who was the Saints' second pick in last year's draft at No. 25, took eight marks and kicked 3.3, but it was his electrifying goal on the run, bouncing his way from the wing in the second term, that showcased his utmost potential.

Such was his athleticism when he was drafted that some recruiters likened him to Lance Franklin, with size and strength to play as a forward yet have the acceleration to burn off his opponents with ease.

yep.....but i was confused...richmond drafted deledio at 1 tambling at 4.....overlooked roughhead and buddy...who went 2 and 5....

...doggies got griffen at 4.....


tripod was a much earlier tiger blue......passed on the big pav for that one.....

He was 15 and half. Spencer should not play this week or probably anytime soon. Lets see what he does over a few more weeks yet.

he won debut against collingwood too unfair on him against brown and ried. carlton id say maybe but i would lock him in against the dogs if he is in form the coach says he wants to play him this year but he has to be in form i dont think he will play more then 5 games depending on injuries which will be good for his development

Spencer seems like he's got plenty of talent but seriously are people wanting him in the team based on a great run from the wing to kick a goal. How about several games at a very high level in the VFL to warrant selection - just a thought!.

I would give him several games this year to give hima taste of the higher level so that he knows how hard he has to work.

I would play Lee more.

say Lee 11 games. white 2 or 3.

Priorty is our future, but there is no point playing guys who are not ready for it. White's frame is still very light.

Stanley likeiwse was getting pushed around early on despite his speed and athleticism. It is only this year that he looks at home.
