Re: seb
We must keep going with Seb and if we can also have Lenny and Armo playing as well as Jack, Dal and 2 or 3 others its a good balance. the good thing is we know Lenny and Seb can certainly play in the one side. Great effort this week after and ordinary one last week. maybe it was having more mids which we need.
Re: seb
Did we win??
Did the midfield win??
Lenny played well ( as Kennedy did) 8/10
Seb played well for a kid... But not counting his age, a 5/10
Armo was poor... 3/10
Overall the group was average.
Unlike Jack, Joey, Dal they are not players who can play elsewhere

your point????BigMart wrote:Did we win did we??
How did Armo go?
How did Sydney's mids go??
Ability to spread is important.... Can't have 3 slow inside mids... That's the balance.
Heard Simon McPhee yell that at the bench when Ross, Cockie and Ledger were in the centre.... He was pointing out that three ball hunters are fighting each other for first possession.... Need a target, sweeper and blocker.... To balance a mid set up.
They can play in the same game, but not the same role.... Which for each in 'inside'
.everybody still loves lenny....and we always will

Re: seb
I think we now know Lenny and Seb can play together. I think most people knew that. I reckon we need as many mids as possible. We are short of them anyway and most people understood that. Most did but not all.

Must keep playing Seb. He'll take a while but I feel he'll be beauty. He's got the smarts. Which for mine are a lot harder to acquire than the body. If he goes to Essendon I'll f****** spew.
Nathan Wright on the other hand.... Potential gun right there. And is already playing for the colours. Love it.

Nathan seems a passionate type. Seb would be at the bendigo bombers for 3 years if he tried to get into essendon.

Re: seb
Odd......but could Ross be the type that actually looks comfortable at a higher level of footy over VFL?
weird how all the VFL reviews have him as a dissapointment and not showing a lot....steps up a level and seems comfortable...

Re: seb
We have to keep playing the young mids as Milera, Saad, Milne, TDL, Ray, & co either can't or are ineffective as mids. I agree, keep playing Ross and Saunders as half forward/mids and maybe throw Wright in there occasionally. Spread the load and the youngsters get some valuable experience and the oldies don't get run into the ground. It's good for everyone.
